Some 20 years ago (I was young) it was a computer named Amiga able to drive a Newtek software called Lightwave. It was the grandfather of Bryce, Maya and so on. It is amousing to remember that with this software and also with some add on (like the first Holliwood fx...) and "Amiga factories" ( a big number of Amiga wired) it was posible to realise a TV film series named BABILON 5. In main time a small company named Pixar started .... Do you know this history?
have you seen the history of pixar on the wall-e dvd? it talks about the history of 3d animation as well... pretty cool documentary
Ok. I'm a beginner and I was wondering do you have any tips or words of advice. I want to pursue animation as a career but I'm having a hard time. Also since I'm only in highschool there's not much I can do. Help please?
you might want to think about poser or even maya (maya being what the pro's use) all very easy to find on torrents *cough* but then you have to go about and find models so yor best bet is to start lurning how to model (trust me i started the wrong way around working with hi res models making good loking pictures then made my own models that looked rubbish :) then animate your models, dont forget about 3dsmax tho. fox
