Pepperspray Productions'

Pepperspray Productions' "Indymedia Presents"

Pepperspray Productions is an independent video activist collective located in Seattle, Washington. We formed shortly after the Seattle WTO protests in response to the Independent Media Center's call, "don't hate the media, be the media!". We believe that the Corporate Media is not telling us the whole story, and that the people must make our own media if we want our voices to be heard. As a collective we cover Seattle-area demonstrations for social and environmental justice as well as progressive/radical political conferences and events. Pepperspray members can also be seen at National and International protest actions. Don't hate the media, Be the media! www.PeppersprayProductions.org

  • The election system is broken. We reprised our segment on Black Box voting. You may start off thinking that those voting machines are really ripping off our democracy, but there's more: The Black Box investigators found out the system is broken in many other ways too. "Understand something. You cannot manipulate a national election without having a network of local corruption. That local corruption has evolved over about 100 years. But it is fairly easy to find by simply following the money in a given county. For example, in some counties the money is in development and the key positions which are most vulnerable to election corruption are the county supervisor or county commissioner positions which sign off on zoning because millions and sometimes hundreds of millions of dollars flow right through them. In fact, elections are becoming part of a money laundering process and I don't think its too strong to say that. www.blackboxvoting.org
