I got to take a fast ride with a driver at the Barrett Jackson auto auction in Las Vegas. It was over before I knew it had started!
Vegas won't just take your money, it'll take your way of life too.
The GS invented the Enduro motorcycle category, and it has left every other manufacturer playing catch up ever since!
When you can buy 4 KLR's for the price of one GS Adventure. Your going to have to realize the KLR wins everytime.
This a contest to see which team could have the slowest time through the obstacle. I was surprised how entertaining the slow event was. Everybody gathered around close and was cheering them on.

Honda BMW Harley Police Motorcycle Barrel Racing Competition
BMW's, Harley's, and Honda Police motorcycles compete in a barrel racing contest. It was a lot of fun to watch and cheer them on.
While I was filming this guys stood out to me as the fastest rider. So I walked around to the different obstacles and filmed him going through on different runs. He take a little spill on one of them, but I will be surprised if he doesn't come away the overall winner of the competition.
Honda, BMW, and Harley face off in a police motorcycle competition, on the driving range at the Timpanogos Harley Dealership in Lindon Utah. It was a ton of fun watching these guys show off their skills in a friendly competition.
Honda Police bike takes a spill during competition. This guy was probably the fastest rider on the course. He just got a little to aggressive in this corner.
This is a little fire road near my house. I mixed the video with Wagner's song "Ride of the Valkyries" I think every motorcycle video would go well with this song. It's an old version of the song, I needed something that was public domain, that's why it's so old. But hey when a song rocks it rocks, right? Ride of the Valkyries - from "Die Valkyrie"(1921) Performed by: American Symphony Orchestra Composed by: Richard Wagner Creative Commons license: Public Domain
Farmington Canyon is nice, and everybody knows it. We ran into all of SLC county on saturday while we where riding up here. Go super slow on the main dirt roads, because everyone from Jeepers, to mini vans could be around the next corner. Music for this video was provided by my friend Jake's band, "Resistor Radio." The song is called "Radio" to hear more of their stuff check them out on myspace: http://www.myspace.com/resistorradio
Watch out for that one giant rock!
I take a spill on some slippery rocks.
Lidia and I pass out some new shoes to children in need. I made this video in hopes that it would inspire other travelers to help the people in the countries they visit. Bring something from home, or buy something when you arrive. I promise you will remember moments like this more than all those hours you spent laying on the beach. You can make a difference. Music for this video was performed by the band Garden of Adam. To hear more of their music, please visit www.myspace.com/gardenofadam
Here are some of my favorite moments from the Halfthrottle trip. The trip ended up being 13,000 miles long and I rode in 9 different countries. Looking back sometimes I can't believe I actually made it in one piece.
This hotel was so cool to visit. We had a blast there, getting away from it all. If your ever in Panama and need a little adventure this is a great thing to do! Visit http://www.geocities.com/mamitupu/ for information on how to make a reservation.
BMW R1200GS Thought I would try some doughnuts in the snow. And it worked.... kinda.
This is a little un-named trail we went on. It ends up dead ending, but it was a lot of fun. But adventure riding posers beware, your Ma-ma isn't going to be around to help you when things get tough. Here is the google map for the trail. Great Motorcycle Roads: Hobble Creek to Diamond Fork
Filled with rutted out roads and rock slides this road was a night mare. Both of us were positive we would get a flat tire at one point along the road, but luck was on our side. The V-Strom's exhaust was turned into a pancake. Both of us laid our bikes down at different points during the ride. We were actually trying to make it to Strawberry Reservoir, but ended up coming down Diamond Fork and out highway 6. Beware this is for extreme riders only! Here is the google map for this trail. Ride Safe! http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&s...,-111.505737&hl=en&geocode=FSjaZAIdbqJa-Q%3BFRZZZgIdfItd-Q%3B&mra=dme&mrcr=0&mrsp=2&sz=13&via=1&sll=40.049694,-111.455441&sspn=0.075032,0.177326&ie=UTF8&ll=40.151588,-111.311417&spn=0.306501,0.871353&z=11
The 6 mile round trip hike to Calf Creek Falls is very scenic, and the cold water fall at the end is a great reward for the weary hiker.
