Louis Theroux Documentaries

Louis Theroux Documentaries

Documentaries in which journalist Louis Theroux acts as an ordinary, naive, slightly-apologetic guy in order to disarm his subjects and penetrate their shell. The initial editions of Louis Theroux's Weird Weekends examined bizarre sub-cultures of America, before Louis started exploring life in other parts of the world. He then moved on to his When Louis Met. Theroux is the son of writer Paul and younger brother of TV reporter/novelist Marcel. He got a first-class degree at Oxford University and wrote for American satirical mag Spy before working on Michael Moore's TV Nation, during which he made his first on-screen appearances. Theroux won the Bafta award for best factual presenter in 2001 and 2002.
