IXTHEIS is Greek rock/alternative band who made their musical breakthrough opening the Reamonn concert Thessaloniki. They followed that with their debut release "Einai Polla Ta Lefta..." in 2007. IXTHEIS tells us to stay in touch with the 'child in all of us' and look to the future for brighter days. www.ixtheis.gr "Kai perimeno alles meres / otan tha fygi to skotadi / kati tha dihni na allazi / kai tha 'houn hroma i skies" "and I'm waiting for other days / when the darkness will be gone / something will seem to be changing / and the shades will be coloured"
The fantastic 'Mercury Prize' nominated artist Helicopter Girl performs the coolest of cool sets at the House Of Rock Studios, Glasgow for Kerchoonz Live #1. www.kerchoonz.com "I believe that if anyone is putting in work, they should receive compensation. At the same time, we must also be aware of things they offer that are a real plus for artists, such as the exposure. Having said that, it was lovely to receive a payment from Kerchoonz." - Helicopter Girl www.kerchoonz.com/helicoptergirl
Remix by Le Cantin; Directed by Alexandre N. Pepin for N12 media; Comes from the original Atheistic Affidavit from Kidz. www.insurgent-inc.com "Insurgent Inc. never fail to create interesting and enthralling videos. In their latest video for 'A Pulse for Atheistic', there is a definite hallucinogenic feel to it. Green plasma oozes all over the screen while silhouettes of the band dance around to the music. What results is a very cool electronic remix of an already great song (and video). Highly recommended." - MusicDishTV
JES's video for "Imagination," inspired by the cover for the release, incorporates a stunning visual performance piece, as well as, live footage shot during her opening stint during Tiesto's, ELEMENTS OF LIFE show, in Copenhagen. www.planetjes.com "This video for 'Imagination' is generating a lot of buzz and rightfully so. This is four minutes of trance euphoria and JES looks absolutely dazzling in the video. Interspersed amidst glimpses of JES singing in front of a beautiful skyline, we see clips of a live performance from when she opened for Tiesto. Trance fans will love this." - MusicDishTV
The video for "This Is A Song" by Mitch Friedman ("Game Show Teeth) is about as simple as you can get. The song itself is a tribute of sorts to the simple formula that can be found in so many examples of pop music - verse, chorus, verse, etc. In this sense, the song is both quirky and educational at the same time. In the video, words on the screen tell you what part of the song it is. Meanwhile, various shapes on the screen identifying the instruments pulsate to the music. It's a rather amusing video and it is the perfect complement to the song's whimsical nature. Who knows - you may even learn a thing or two about pop music by watching it! www.mitchfriedman.com
Mr. Shammi featuring DJ Respecta & Filip G. www.myspace.com/mrshammi "Magdalena" by Mr. Shammi, featuring DJ Respecta and Filip G, has a video that is a throwback to the ostentatious clips of the âÂÂ90s. It features flashing lights, fast cuts, superimpositions and lots of pretty girls. There's not much of a story one need concentrate on, except for the fact that this racy life is obviously the way men need to live to keep up with the elusive "Magdelena". Its fast pace finishes the video up quickly enough to leave the song humming through your head for ages afterwards. -- MusicDishTV
Nicole Patrick's debut video; shot in Nashville. www.nicolepatrick.com In the video for "I'm Here To Stay", Nicole Patrick showcases the best of her young vocal ability in a very picturesque performance. She starts out singing stylishly in an outdoor cityscape, filmed in hues of blues and greys and then moves into an empty warehouse to give a rousing performance of the rest of the song. The inside shots are effectively contrasted by being filmed in yellow and orange hues, giving the video effective depth and distinction. -- MusicDishTV
