This is the home for a project of mine. And I shall call him mini..no, no, no Alien Shark. Here I will use one 3D source (From ZBrush) to generate a concept sculpt, a finished 3D object, a Maya displaced model, a character that can be animated, a real -time characer, an illustration, and then a final rapid prototyed model. You can see more of my art at http://nickzucc.blogspot.com
Showing how I made the arms in ZBrush using z spheres.
3D template made in ZBrush and then brought back over into Maya to build final geometry.
Turn table rendered in Maya that shows the character animating.
test to see the normal shading on the alien shark
Final turntable rendered in Maya with animation. I am not an animator so don't laugh at my horrible animation. This is just a test for the characters motion and deformation.
Video that shows the alien shark in real time in the Maya view port.
Video that shows the driver skeleton, the FK arm and leg skeleton, the IK arm and leg skeleton, the deformation skeleton and the rig that I built for the alien shark.
This is a move that I put together to show how I made the cliff face for my illustration.
Here is the final pose that I made from the illustration file, this model can be used for rapid prototyping.
Here I will use poly painting to paint the color information for the legs.
Here I will build the skeleton for the alien shark.
Video that shows how to make a custom alpha in Zbrush to use to detail your model. I will then take a sphere and then project the final shape back down to a sphere.
Here is a time - lapse movie that I made with Zbrush 3.0. Created with just a sphere.
Another resurfacing video in Maya. Music = Conjure One - Center of the Sun
Here is how you can take a hi res mesh, resurface it, then project the detail and color of that Hi res mesh to your new retopologized mesh. Very cool stuff.

Projecting Detail From one mesh to another (Sub Tool Method)
Here is a video that I made that shows how to project detail from one mesh to another using the "sub tool method" This is pretty easy to use.
