Our comprehensive Le Cordon Bleu training programs are designed to combine demonstration classes and hands-on, practical courses in professionally equipped, contemporary kitchens. Plus, students can learn classical cooking methods and the qualitative aspects of food preparation, including nutrition and sanitation. Essential skills can be learned through the guidance of our talented chef educators. While give you the opportunity to we enhance your marketable skills, we encourage students to express their unique culinary style. To give students in the Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Arts Program at Scottsdale Culinary Institute the added edge they need in today’s competitive marketplace, our program includes a general education component that is designed to provide a solid academic foundation for personal and professional growth.
More than 270 private colleges across the nation have joined together to form Tuition Plan Consortium, the not-for-profit organization that sponsors Independent 529 Plan. Independent 529 Plan operates under the direction of the Tuition Plan Consortium board, which is composed of twenty-one Directors who are officers of independent colleges or affiliated organizations. All costs of administering the program, managing the assets, and running the Tuition Plan Consortium office are paid for by the annual management fee of 1.25% of assets, which is paid by the member colleges.

In 2003, the East Carolina University Brody School of Medicine's Department of Pediatrics formed the Pediatric Healthy Weight Research and Treatment Center in response to the national and regional epidemic of childhood obesity that is threatening the health of our children. Regional studies in eastern North Carolina show about half of all children are at risk for overweight or are overweight in the region. Several studies have found almost twice as many children in eastern North Carolina are considered overweight (about 30%) compared to children nationally (17%).
