Some old and Some new. Check out those sleeper hits from way back when, to today.
Here's another little jewel from the not so golden age of B movies. This one has everything, submarines, flying (or swimming) saucers, cyclopian monsters from space, and of course the overly melodramatic acting one would expect from these movies. Sit back and enjoy!
Here we have the Quintessential Italian Spaghetti Space Opera. This little number has it all. From genetically engineered badl 4 armed zombie like creations, to some very hot ladies, this is Italian Schlock at it's best.Originally Titled "The Galaxy Criminals, this 1965 offering stars Tony Russell and Lisa Gastoni. Check it out today!
Another Monochromatic masterpiece from the not so golden age of horror movies. In this Public Domain flick, we find out just how convincing a monster you can create with a surplus diving suit, some paper mache and a few dozen bananas. Slap em all together and add some paint and you have "The Horror of Party Beach! In this gem, the locals of an unidentified oceanside community are shocked when a number of grizzly murders are occuring in their quiet little hamlet. It starts with a single bikini babe buying the farm and progresses through the town drink, all the way up to a full blown sleepover party massacre. If you like radioactive monsters from the deep, then you will love this schlocky monster Mash! Just in time for Halloween!
Produced in 1953, this little Public Domain Gem follows the typical scientist hero as he and his OSI (Office of Scientific Investigation) partner try to track down a deadly new radioactive isotope which if left alone, would eventually destroy the earth. This is in my top ten favorite list for Tacky Drive in Horror and Scifi.
Another Fishy tale from the mid 60's. In this one, the quintessential he man type navy dude is needed to track an underwater UFO. Strange things soon happen and between monsters, an annoying ex-subordinate, and the prerequisite bombshell babe; the ocean floor may never be the same. This film has slightly (and I mean slightly) better than average SFX for the time period, but relatively good acting make it a fun movie to watch.
Aliens try to take over the world by seizing control of Gamera's brain.
