Curly has invented a gold collar-button finder, and the Stooges immediately try their luck prospecting using their new invention. As they do so they run afoul of some grizzled desert rats, and discover the Lost Mine. After taking refuge in a ghost town hotel, they lock themselves and the gold in the safe, where the villainous prospectors immediately try to dynamite them out. 1942
The stooges escape from jail when they learn their father, who has just become rich, is planning to leave their mother and marry a young girl. Curly is mistaken for the stooges father (he plays both parts) and marries the girl instead. When they learn that she is working with gangsters who plan to kill their father for his money, they escape and take their father with them.
Millionaire Rumsford has about had it with his wife Sheri's eccentric behavior. He calls the office of psychiatrists Ziller, Zeller and Zoller to help. The call is taken by the Stooges, who are actually phone repairmen. They assume the doctors' identities and try to cure Sheri at her society birthday party, while inciting a cream puff fight. During the cream puff fight, Lorna Gray, who played Sheri Rumsford, had a cream puff accidentally lodged into her throat. Curly mentioned his wife, 'Gertie,' which was actually Shemp's wife's name.
Wedding plans for the Three Stooges are cut short when the father of their brides is wrongly jailed. Moe comes up with a plan for them to get into jail and bust the father out. After a couple of unsuccessful attempts to get arrested, they end up walking through the front door of the county jail. To get the future father-in-law's job back as warden and expose the criminals, the Stooges go undercover as gentlemen at the gangster's dinner party to take pictures as evidence. The lengthy rumba dance provides plenty of time for Moe to shoot the photos, while Curly creates a diversion by exposing various undergarments. 1942
From 1946, this is the Stooges 90th comedy short. The stooges are civil war soldiers who are constantly changing uniforms to avoid the opposing armies. Eventually they decide to be loyal to the south, but remain disguised as Union soldiers. Curly is detected as a spy, but Moe and Larry prevent his execution. The boys escape with a secret map and marry their three southern belles.
A great Stooge short from 1941. The stooges decide to get some easy money by having Curly slip on a bar of soap in a hotel lobby so they can sue the owner. Curly slips as planned but the hotel turns out to be run by an old lady who is about to lose her lease to the evil landlord. The stooges decide to help her fix up the place and start by beating up the landlord and stealing his watch. After their usual antics in renovating the place, the hotel is ready for the grand re-opening. The stooges put on a big show with a famous critic in attendance. Their corny act goes over poorly until Curly accidentally puts on a magicians coat and becomes a sensation and the place is a success.
The Stooges are singing waiters who find out their girlfriends' father will be jailed if their debts are not paid off. This makes the boys become prospectors. What they find is buried money stolen by their boss. Their boss discovers his stolen loot and the chase is on. When they make a delivery to the local golf course, the boys decide to take some time out to practice for the company golf tournament, and then proceed to demolish the course. The "Press, Press, Pull" gag was reused in EVEN AS I.O.U. (1942).
A Classic 3 Stooges short.
Another great Stooges short.
From 1940, this is the fifty second Stooge short produced for Columbia Studios. The stooges are greeting card salesmen who are mistakenly inducted into the army after escaping from the jealous husband of one of their customers. In bootcamp their sergeant turns out to be the same man, whom they constantly vex and bewilder. When the boys are sent to the front lines and the sergeant is captured they must rescue him, which they do after doping themselves with laughing gas. At the end they get shot off into the sunset on a cannon shell. One of my favorite Stooges shorts ever. Not only did the comedy and the brief "romance" make this short enjoyable, but also the usage of suspension and black comedy used in the war sequences.
Released in 1943, the stooges are working as bellboys in a large hotel when a side show promoter shows up with 'Lupe', a wild wolfman who promptly escapes. The stooges try to capture the wolfman by playing music to calm him, but music makes the wolfman go berserk and soon the stooges are the ones trying to run away. The boys end up caught in an elevator with the wolfman who shoots them into the sky.

A Stooge short from 1944 that happens to include two of their classic vaudeville routines. The stooges are three small time actors looking for a job. They meet three girl dancers in the situation and get a small part in a big producers show at the shipyard. When the rest of the cast doesn't show up, the stooges and the girls must put on the whole show themselves. The show is a hit and the stooges marry the girls and head to Niagara Falls for their honeymoon.
The Stooges are janitors asked to be delegates at the Presidential Convention to support Hammond Egger, who is really a crook. When the boys learn this, they change their mind and support Egger's opponent Abel Lamb Stewer, who wins the election. 1952
From 1937 comes another hilarious Stooges short. The stooges are suitors who go on a sit down strike when their prospective father-in-law refuses to consent the marriages. The strike wins them fame and they receive numerous gifts including a lot and a prefabricated house. They win the strike and get married, but the wives decree no honeymoon until the house is built. The boys have some problems with the construction, especially since Curly burned up the plans. The eventually finish the house, a monstrosity that collapses when one post is accidentally moved.
From 1941 comes this hilarious Stooge short. The stooges are icemen who, while delivering ice to a house on the top of a high hill, destroy several cakes that a wealthy man is trying to bring home. When their antics cause the servants at their customer's house to quit, the boys are hired to take their place and prepare a dinner party. What they don't know is that the party is for the man whose cakes they wrecked. When Moe's gas filled cake explodes and the man realizes who they are, they must leave in a hurry
From 1945, the stooges are three inventors trying to a get a patent on their preposterous fly catching invention. When they learn they'll have to catch 100,000 flies to earn enough to get a patent, some crooks overhear and think the boys are the $100,000 sweepstakes winners. When the crooks give chase, the stooges hide in a sporting goods store where Curly shoots a dummy, which they mistake for a real person. The boys decide to bury the "body" in a pet cemetery, but the cemetery owner arrives from a costume party with his partners, all dressed as spooks, and they proceed to scare the devil out of the stooges.
The stooges are pest exterminators who drum up business by planting vermin in a ritzy mansion where a party is going on. The boys are hired, but must dress as guests to work unobserved. They disrupt the party and a wild pie fight ensues. This short was released in 1951.
