Photos courtesy of http://www.all-about-wolves.com For those of you who are unaware of this, the new Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar has delisted the wolves in Western Great Lakes and the Rocky Mountain states of Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana and Utah as of March 6th, 2009. Wyoming will be added as soon as some details are worked out. This means that the lives of 1,000 wolves are now in jeopardy from the ranching and hunting communities. This should come as no surprise if you have visited Ken Salazar's bio page at the Department of the Interior's website where he says that he has been a champion of farmers and ranchers throughout his career. His family has operated a "farm" named El Rancho Salazar for 30 years. If you know anything about those who raise livestock you are well aware of the war they rage against any and all predators at a cost of $42 million tax dollars a year. Livestock mortality due to predation (by all predators including bears, cougars, coyotes, wolverines, wolves and birds of prey) constitutes 3%. Of that 3% predation, wolf kills comprise between 1 and 2 % or .0015% of total deaths. The other 97% of livestock mortality is due to natural causes such as disease, birthing complications, weather, etc. Additionally, there are funds set up to repay ranchers for any proven wolf kills. Grazing their livestock on our public lands costs the taxpayers $350 million per year just to manage it. In return the BLM receives $1.35 per cow and calf pair (per month) for that pair to graze on YOUR land. You can't feed a house cat for that. Cattle grazed on our public lands produce 3% of the total national beef production each year. In the process they are turning our public lands into deserts. Last year Defenders of Wildlife brought suit in District Court to stop the massacre of wolves after the delisting by the former Bush Administration. Now, Defenders of Wildlife and the Humane Society of the United States are again trying to save these wolves, but the prognosis doesn't look good. If we can't stop t

The title might seem lame, but this is a serious vid, but I don't think it's as depressing as some of my other wolf vids. I have made my 700 subscribers video with a beautiful song that I can't wait to upload. Thank you wolfgrace22 and XxXCrescentXxX for the songs! "Angels Are Calling" Lyrics: Your light was always shining on my way There are so many things I'd like to say So many words were left unsaid Before you flew away So in my heart I'm sending you my love I ´m giving it wings so it can fly and reach you where ever you are And the years go by Still the years go by Forever Angels are calling Heaven is crying Crying tears of blood ´cause it was not your time Angels are calling Hard rain is falling Covering my tears and my pain Calling You used to play in the summers in the grass I always thought of you fragile as glass Your *memory* is all that I now have Some things here are so hard to understand I thank you for your love and take your hand Some of us down here are born as angels And the years go by Still the years go by forever Angels are calling Heaven is crying Crying tears of blood ´cause it was not your time Angels are calling Hard rain is falling Covering my tears and my pain Lyrics (C) by Ari Koivunen Honors for this video (4) #23 - Top Favorited (Today) - Pets & Animals #32 - Top Favorited (This Week) - Pets & Animals #36 - Top Favorited (This Week) - Pets & Animals #38 - Top Favorited (This Week) - Pets & Animals I DO NOT OWN THE PICTURES OR THE SONG!

//Tell me what the Rain knows- Wolves ||. For W0Lff0rC3 .||// I'm okay with the outcome of this. :/ But when there's a piano soloish thing, there was supposed to be a . Slow . Smooth .Slow .Smooth . Smooth&Slow but it didn't work. . . T____T It just looks darker, not even slower or anything. :| what a dooky bain I am. Only I could be that stupid P: (I had a problem spelling "Stupid". It came out as "stoopid" "stipud" "stupiud" xD) But this is a dedicaiton that actually took sometime to make! For W0Lff0rC3 . ^ ^ A great friend; one of my best. He's always there for me, when I'm sad, when I'm glad, when I'm mad, when I'm frusterated, when I'm confussed, or being a little greedy. He's always giving me footage or songs. XD I love that. At first when I began making this video, I wasn't going to dedicate this to anyone, just a little video to be thrown away in time. But I'd told Wulf I've been making dedications-- Thus, I was, but I just never wanted to finish them, because I thought they weren't that important, and eventually, Sony, Or Windows Movie Maker, couldn't find them, request to find them in all the locust swarm of files I have, but I really didn't want to wait 52 minutes just for a 48 second video that I'll never finish. It isn't logical. But here I go, one of my first and solemn video dedications! ^ ^ I hope you like--- :Scribble scribble: LOVE this video, Wulf! :D Love yaa *If High Quality appears, please watch in High Quality. :] Honors! #4 - Top Favorited (Today) - Pets & Animals - Canada #10 - Top Rated (Today) - Pets & Animals - Canada September 20, 2008: #46 - Most Discussed (This Week) - Pets & Animals - Canada #9 - Top Favorited (This Week) - Pets & Animals - Canada #57 - Top Favorited (This Month) - Pets & Animals - Canada #23 - Top Rated (This Week) - Pets & Animals - Canada Sunday, September 21: #51 - Top Favorited (This Month) - Pets & Animals - Canada - HinataHatake Program(s) used: Sony Vegas 7.0 Footage: Real Wolf action clips Production(s): Blue Wolf Production (C), Moon Wolf Production (C)

Yet another drawing video. Sorry that in some parts of the video it goes really fast, but it had to be sped up because otherwise this would've been a REALLY long video. X) I realized that I've never drawn Wolf Link. And that's a shame, because I really like the game and the character (both human and wolf version of him, though I decided to draw the wolf this time.) I know that there are some mistakes in his coloring, but for some reason it's really hard to get right :'D This time I used my personal style rather than the official art style as I used in the Wolf's Rain speed drawing. Not much to say, hope you like it~ :) the final result can be seen at the end of the video or by clicking this link: http://i85.photobucket.com/albums/k68/osiast/wolflink.jpg Character (c) Nintendo Art and video (c) Me Program: Photoshop CS3 Music is from the TP soundtrack and the songs are 1. Another drawing video. This time I used Hypercam to record this, and it actually was a better program for this kind of things. Even though the colors go a bit crazy in the end. But as the title tells, this is Tsume, my favorite character from the series Wolf's Rain. :) I tried to mimic the original style a bit, while still keeping my own style there. Oh and no reference pictures were used, except a few original art pics of Tsume to get his coloring right. Hope you like it! This is a video that I had made with the song Sleeping Wolves from the anime Wolf's Rain. And the song is by Yoko Kanno.

Lakota was born on April 24, 1993, at Bear Country, USA, near Rapid City, South Dakota. She represented the great plains subspecies of the gray wolf (Canis lupus nubilus), as an ambassador wolf for the International Wolf Center in Ely, Minnesota. She was euthanized on November 11, 2008 due to a declining metabolic system. Lakota outlived all of her littermates and during her last six months of life, she had a unique management situation as a lone pack member. Wolf care staff developed new management strategies to ensure that Lakotas physical and behavioral needs were met. These strategies included: access to the wolf yard and lab, specialized diets, staff visitations and enclosure improvements. The access to the wolf lab was most significant as she became acclimated to the indoor kennel, which would later prove important for veterinary care. But, having a wolf in the lab did have its management issues; she became quite fond of taking items from the lab and running back into the Retired enclosure. Her list of larceny items included: pillows, backpacks, water bottles, bags of dog toys, sweatshirts, pizzas, block of cheese, compass, stuffed moose and a bag of grass seed, just to name a few.
A new video dedicated to the wolves and the biologists fighting to keep them safe. With new footage, extending running time and the return of the beautiful music which I believe symbolises the spirit of the wolf. Thank you for your continued viewing and comments.
The Gray Wolf (Canis lupus; also spelled Grey Wolf, see spelling differences; also known as Timber Wolf or Wolf) is a mammal in the order Carnivora. The Gray Wolf shares a common ancestry with the domestic dog (Canis lupus familiaris), as evidenced by DNA sequencing and genetic drift studies. Gray wolves were once abundant and distributed over much of North America, Eurasia, and the Middle East. Today, for a variety of human-related reasons, including widespread habitat destruction and excessive hunting, wolves inhabit only a very limited portion of their former range. Though listed as a species of least concern for extinction worldwide, for some regions including the Continental United States, the species is listed as endangered or threatened. IF U LOVE WOLVES PLZ ENJOY IT!! SAVE THEM!!
