You may also want to review our list of the formats and codecs we
support, and our suggestions for how to maximize the quality of the
presentation of your video on our site.
If you have multiple videos to upload, you can upload via an RSS feed. Click here for more information about that process.
Step 1:
Choose the file to upload, either from your local computer, or from
a URL. Note that By clicking Continue, you are agreeing to the Terms of
Use and Acceptable Use policies.
The progress of the upload is displayed as you progress from step to
step. If you close your web browser, or navigate away from this
sequence before the upload process is completed, your upload will be
cancelled.
Step 2:
- Enter a title for your video.
- Enter a description for your video. The more detail you enter about
your video, the more likely the Veoh community is to find and watch
your video.

your My Videos page. Your video could be in one of the following states:
- Web Upload Incomplete
Your

happened include, leaving the upload page before the upload completes,
losing your connection for very large files or other network problems.
You can return to step two of the upload process and try again, or try
using the Veoh client for publishing larger files.
Note, if you publish using a remote URL you could receive this message for a short
time while the file is being uploaded directly from server to server. If your
problems persist please contact our support team.
- Uploading from Veoh client software
Your file is being uploaded
from your client software to the Veoh peer-to-peer network. This is a
background process and will complete based on available bandwidth.

the file is added to our peer network.
- Processing Video
Your video is being processed by the Veoh system before publishing.
This includes creating the web preview, generating screen captures and other
processes. Typically this process will take less than 30 minutes, although
high volumes could slow the process slightly.
- Error - File Not Recognized
Veoh does not recognize the file uploaded as a valid video file supported by our system.
Veoh supports a wide range of formats and by a wide range of encoding
programs. However, at times our system cannot identify the video or audio
encoding used and rejects the video.
If you have received this error, please verify that your video is encoded in a supported format. If your video is in one of these formats, contact our support team for assistance.
- Error - Player Upload Failed
A video uploaded from the Veoh
client software was not able to be successfully uploaded.
Causes of this could be turning off your computer, disconnecting from the
internet or uninstalling Veoh before the upload was complete or deleting the
file before it was completely uploaded. This error should not occur for
videos uploaded from the web upload form.
- Needs additional video metadata
Your video had been uploaded successfully, but requires additional information before it is released on Veoh.

If you are not a member of Group, but would like to subscribe, click on the ‘Subscribe’ link on the ‘Video’ tab on the Group page.
Report a Problem
There is a feature on the Group itself that enables logged in Veoh users to flag your Group for review. This is to assist you in moderating your Group. There are certain flags, however, which may cause a Veoh moderator to review your Group and perform one of the following actions: remove members, remove videos, remove topics or posts, change the category, or change the metadata. Under extreme circumstances, the You or the Group may even be cancelled or given to another member to moderate. Manage your Group wisely, it is a living thing that we encourage participation in.
