My 8mm project for Film Styles class... Project Rules: The project was shot on 8mm film. I was given one cartridge of film, which can shoot up to 2min of footage. There is no sound, and no post production. Every shot has to be filmed IN ORDER and timed as you record it (because there's no editing later). This was my very first experience with REAL film. Hope you like! :)

The Sylver's family had me produce this family history biography for the 50th wedding anniversary of their parents Frances & Armour. We used old 8mm home movies,photos, movie and TV clips and on camera interviews of family members. The entire program as produced ran 23 minutes and was shown at the party. There wasn't a dry eye in the house.

Super 8 mm film, also simply called Super 8, is a motion picture film format released in 1965 by Eastman Kodak as an improvement of the older 8 mm home movie format, and the Cine 8 format. The film is 8 mm wide, exactly the same as the older standard 8 mm film, and also has perforations on only one side. However, the dimensions of the perforations are smaller than those on older 8 mm film, which allowed the exposed area to be made larger. The Super-8 standard also specifically allocates the rebate opposite the perforations for an oxide stripe upon which sound can be magnetically recorded. There are several different varieties of the film system used for shooting, but the final film in each case has the same dimensions. By far the most popular system was the Kodak system. The single-lens reflex (SLR) camera uses an automatic moving mirror system which permits the photographer to see exactly what will be captured by the film or digital imaging system, as opposed to non-SLR cameras where the view through the viewfinder could be significantly different from what was captured on film. Its 1977, and we are at Albany-Rennslear Station as the Lake Shore Limited comes in with Amtrak SDP40F #595-545. The train gets split in half, with one section to Boston, and the other section to NYC. Amtrak E8's #425-421 leave with the Boston section, followed by southbound E8's #403-318 still in faded PC paint. Sorry for the quality, as these are ols handheld Super 8mm sound movies. Fantasyland at Disneyland Ca FULL & UNCUT 1980 Super 8mm Rare Sound Film New Transfer
This is a very rare copy of one of the last Disneyland Home Movie souvenir travel films they made about the park. Its called "Fantasyland at Disneyland" This was made right before the early 80s refab of Fantasyland. This was made in 1980. When we got the film (from Disneyland kodak store, Main Street) almost every super 8 film in stock was marked down and dumb video tapes were on the way in. This was the very 1st film i collected, This one started my whole collecting. I was only about 4 or 5 at the time. This is A new transfer of the full uncut film, Great Quality Anyway Enjoy !
