It will reunite the award-winning director/choreographer David Bolger and designer Monica Frawley, whose staging of Gluck's Orfeo ed Euridice won for Opera Ireland the 2004 Irish Times Theatre Award for Best Opera Production. A Midsummer Night's Dream will feature a predominantly Irish cast, including Gerard O'Connor as Bottom and Louise Walsh in the virtuosic role of Tytania (pictured right), while the stunning Italian counter-tenor Flavio Oliver returns to Opera Ireland in the role of Oberon, King of the Fairies.
