This event was held at the Expo of the Maine Marathon at USM in Portland, Maine. In Portland, Maine runners from across the USA and the world gather to get ready to run the Maine Marathon. David Colby Young of the the Maine Track Club takes a few minutes to talk a few minutes to talk to just a few of them.

A few video clipping from the 2008 Mothers Day Sea Dog 5K Race. We took this with a new video camera as I might take a few races race to get all the buttons down right. The race was held in POrtland, Maine 11 May 2008
We thank Mr. Jim Toulouse of Cape Elizabeth, Maine, He started the video camera recording at the Maine Running Company 5K Turkey Trot on 23 Nov 2008. David Colby Young took the place behind the camera shortly after he finished the race. It is our understanding that the video camera was not attended until David returned but a few young girls found it interesting looking at the view finder. It is these girls that you hear in the back ground. You can also hear their parents.

The view from Mile 1 of the 10 Miler
Rev. Norman Young remembers his mother, Stella May Porter Young, reciting this readings ever since he was a small child at Christmas time. He assumed that she learned them when she was young. It would probably be in the 1930's that he remembers his mother reciting it and who knows how much earlier she learned it. She always recited it for the Rev Young when she visited. He always asked her to recite it for him even though it wasn't Christmas time when she visited. That is the reason that she made a record of it for him. It is something that he remembers from his childhood. We have assumed it is a very old reading.
Hills are the runners friend in Cape Elizabeth, Maine. Most of all the runners agree as they smile their way to the top of the hills. David Colby Young of the Maine Track Club has recorded their efforts on 2 Aug 2008.

On 12 July 2008, the 13th Annual 5K Moxie Road Race was held. Betty Young of the Maine Track was there to record most of the runners & walkers as the finished the race.
