Hate Eternal is a death metal band from St. Petersburg, Florida. Hate Eternal was formed in 1997. The group's original line-up included Erik Rutan - guitars/vocals, bassist and co-vocalist Jared Anderson, drummer Tim Yeung, and guitarist Doug Cerrito of the band Suffocation. In 2002, drummer Derek Roddy (formerly of Nile, Divine Empire and Malevolent Creation) replaced Tim Yeung, and the band set forth to record their second album, King of All Kings as a trio with Erik, Jared and Derek. That summer, Erik Rutan calmly parted ways with Morbid Angel, stating that he wished to devote more time to Hate Eternal.

Annotations of an autopsy formed in late 2006 with the purpose of writing aggressive low end death metal. Influenced by bands such as Devourment, Skinless, Goratory, deicide, hate eternal, Vile, deeds of flesh and cannibal corpse, Mixing old and new school death metal to forge the sound that is heard today. In 2007 Annotations released their debut ep Welcome to sludge city which instantly made a mark in the online music scene finding its way to peoples ears throughout the world and off the back off it Annotations formed a huge fan base both this side of the Atlantic and across it. Annotations tour off the back of the ep throughout 2007 achieving glowing reviews and playing to huge audiences. At the end of 2007 Annotations signed a deal with Siege of amida records and Ferret records worldwide. In 2008 Annotations released their debut album Before the throne of infection and received glowing reviews and press off the back of it and has resulted in huge features in all the major metal magazines and have been describe as The first British death band to make a dent in the worldwide market since carcass. the WILLOWZ! - Cons & Tricks // Inspired by '70s and early-'80s punk as well as '60s garage rock, blues-rock, and soul, the Anaheim, CA garage punk trio the Willowz draw from influences roughly twice as old as they are. The group formed in 2002, when singer/guitarist Richie James March, bassist/vocalist Jessica Reynoza, and drummer Alex Willow were all in their late teens. March taught Reynoza, who is also a painter, how to play bass; while in New York City that summer, he also recorded some songs with producer Paul Kostabi. March and Reynoza met Willow at a party soon after. The trio recorded a 7" for the German label Wanker Records, another 7" for Posh Boy, and a self-titled album, which was released in 2004 by Dionysus. The Willowz also gigged prolifically, playing with bands such as the Epoxies, Dance Disaster Movement, the Mutes, the Dirtbombs and the Weirdos. 2004 saw the band maintaining their busy schedule by contributing a track to the soundtrack of Michel Gondry's Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind; Gondry also directed the video for "Meet Your Demise." this is the first in my "this mcgaffigan life" series in which i discuss sordid, disturbing and generally bizarre tales from my past. i'm going to try to upload one story per week in december to see how it goes. in this edition i talk about one of my summer jobs i held as a youth. as usual, this tale is fraught with intrigue and lasting emotional damage. next week the topic for this mcgaffigan life will be "bros vs. hoes - the eternal conflict," a story about trying to pursue a relationship with a young lady whilst maintaining strong ties with my male friends. and this story ends in the most painfully awkward and emotionally damaging way possible. seriously, you're going to find out how terrible of a person i really am. in all honesty, i would enjoy hearing any stories you guys have to share. andy loves him a good yarn.
