The picture in the video was taken in my bedroom and were unaltered except to be brightened so that others could better see the ghost captured on film. She appears in the form of a blue child's face. Residents in Albuquerque's International District have tried for years to get rid of the area's reputation for drugs and crime. But on Wednesday, city officials were reminded that a lot of work needs to be done in the area. City enforcement officers went through the southeast Albuquerque neighborhood formerly known as the War Zone handing out tickets for things like garbage, furniture and appliances left on the street. There were plenty of violations—including one residence where four fighting roosters were found. Of the 224 homes that were visited, 150 were cited for code violations. Inspectors also found five buildings that were vacant and were secured. Neighbors like Modesta Roybal were glad the city showed up. "I think it's a good idea. The houses look trashy with trash in the front yard and cars that are all broken down," she said. Joanne Landry, president of the Trumbull Village Neighborhood Association, says 80 percent of the International District is cleaner than it was about six years ago. "Every street was full of couches and chairs and washing machines and refrigerators," Landry said. "And now it's just a whole lot better." Landry says the large number of citations can be blamed mainly on landlords not following the rules. Pete Dinelli of the Safe City Strike Force agrees. "You have a number of property owners who are more concerned with a rental check as opposed to maintaining their properties. So our goal was to send a very strong message. I think it was very effective," he said. City code enforcement officers will be doing more cleanup sweeps throughout Albuquerque. In this episode, we return to Aeris' house to discover why the Shinra are after her. Afterwards, we decide to rescue her and commit random acts of terrorism while we're at it. Let me know what you think of how I'm handling these long storyline scenes. For the most part, I'm pretty satisfied with it, as I think it enriches the game and this LP. Plus, it gives us opportunities to discusss individual parts of the plot. It's certainly the complete opposite of FF1-3 where it was mostly battles and preparation with little to no plot. Given the choice, I'd very much rather have an episode full of plot than an episode with too many battles. Thanks for watching!

There is no relief in sight for the overcrowded Valencia County jail. Voters have shot down a tax extension, which would have been used to fund expansions at the facility. Now officials are considering raiding the budgets of other county services. The Valencia County jail is so full that inmates are stacked three bunks high. The jail has to pay other facilities as far away as Grants and Santa Fe to house overflow inmates. "I think that the expansion of the jail is going to have to occur, and the funds are going to have to come from some source,” said Valencia County Commission Chairman Pedro Rael. The funds would have come from the renewal of an eighth-of-a-cent gross receipts tax. But it failed on the ballot nearly two-to-one. "It wouldn't have impacted them any different than what's going on right now,” said Kenneth Griego, Valencia County’s business manager. County officials say they still need to find nearly $5.5 million to expand the jail and relieve overcrowding. So, come the start of the next fiscal year in 2010 cuts will have to be made countywide. "The realization that we have is that it's going to cost us a lot more later on,” said Griego. The county will look at the 2010 general fund for cuts. It won’t be easy, considering Valencia County is already expecting a 5-7 percent shortfall. First on the chopping block are county services. "We have an animal control shelter. We have about 259 employees in a number of departments, code enforcement. We have the sheriff's office,” said Rael. As a last resort, the county will consider cutting employee pay. If that’s not enough, jobs could follow. County officials say they may try to bring back the gross receipts tax, but they have to wait a year to do so.
