Written and directed by Lee Han, Yeonae Soseol (Lover's Concerto) explores the occasionally overlapping boundaries between love and friendship. When Lee Ji-hwan (Cha Tae-hyun) receives a series of strange photographs in the mail, he is reminded of meeting two teenage girls five years beforehand. He had initially fallen for Shim Su-in, but his advances were rejected. Relatively unphased, he remained friends with Su-in and her friend Kim Gyeong-heui (Lee Eun-ju) for the rest of the summer holiday. Eventually, Ji-hwan and Gyeong-heui developed feelings for one another, but both were reluctant to admit it. Through flashback and the listening ears of Ji-hwan's friend Cheol-hyeon (Park Young-woo), the young man struggles to define the former trio's complicated relationship. ~ Tracie Cooper, All Movie Guide
A rare love story between a once famous baseball player and his ardent lover. Dong Chiseong (played by Jeong Jaeyeong), a star baseball pitcher in high school and college, hurts his shoulder, and is replaced as an outfielder. What is worse, he experiences a constant nose-bleeding and hears from the doctor that he is only given three months to live due to a malignant tumor in his lung. Deeply depressed, he goes to a bar to drink away his sorrows until he falls asleep. A pretty bartender Han Iyeon (Lee Nayeong), finds him passed out and picks him up and carries him in a box. One day, as Chiseong heads home, he hears a familiar story on a radio program about someone named the "Writing Princess" who described how she once carried a man in a box to a hotel room.
The film starts with Ji-hwan opening a handmade letter. It has no address or name written on it. Inside, is a black-and-white photo of happy children playing. We learn that he has been receiving several of these for some time. Flashback to five years earlier. Ji-hwan is a literature undergraduate who works at a cafe. His hobby is photography. He tests his speed at putting together his camera and manages to beat his previous record. Looking into his viewfinder, he glimpses a beautiful face. As he attempts to take a picture of this girl smelling a rose, another girl, Gyung-hee, accidentally walks into the frame. She apologises for spoiling his shot. Then she and her friend, Soo-in, the one whom he saw earlier, sit at the cafe to eat. Ji-hwan watches them, having fallen in love with Soo-in at first sight.
