  • The series Maria-sama ga Miteru and all it's characters are the property of Konno Oyuki and everyone who licensed it. Originial Title: Maria-sama Ga Miteru English Title: Maria watches over us Maria-sama Ga Miteru (MariMite) has claimed a special place in my heart. Lillian's world introduced me to many charismatic characters. The depth & refinement of each & every one of these personalities make this it stand out. The emotions touched within the stories are so diverse & vibrant, that it made a lasting impression.

  • There is a horrible situation in Britain now with Staffordshire Bull Terriers. Since pitbulls are banned there, people are using these dogs like thugs. People over breed them for a few lousy dollars. They fight them. The act like they are weapons. Because of this situatiion, there are some calling for a breed ban, like the pitbull. One out of every 3 dogs abandoned or sent to shelters and rescues is a staffie. They have found staffies knifed to death, in creeks and ponds with rocks tied to them to make sure they drown. The term lifting is when they throw 2 dogs or a dog and a cat down a highrise elevator shaft and then film them with a camera phone to see if they fight on the way down. Quite a game. People should be ashamed of themselves for their cruelty to these dogs. Shame on all who abuse them. I want to thank Maria Daines and Paul Killington for the use of their Staffie song. Please be aware of this situation and help support stronger laws punishing the right person. Not the dog. Thankyou to all who watch. © Maria Daines/Paul Killington All Rights Reserved (mcps) ASCAP http://www.maria-daines.com

  • On November 21st 2008 we flew to Barcelona in Spain to visit Anna and Albert of SOS Galgos and play a benefit gig for them at City Hall, the event was called 'Concierto Benefico Live cantante de rock 'Maria Daines a favor a los galgos necesitados' and it was fantastic! The event started with an Egyptian fashion show where the models were all dressed as Cleopatra, including an amazing Egyptian King! The models walked down the red carpet each walking with a beautiful dog, most of them galgos, it was so glamorous and unforgettable. On the day after the event we went for a walk on the beach with many of SOS Galgos rescue dogs and that's where we met the precious galgo named 'Wonder', she is blind but you would not believe it if you met her, she is loveable, intelligent, happy, sweet natured, and now, the best part of all, she has her own family because she has been adopted and they love her very much. Of all the special memories we took home with us from the trip, meeting Wonder and her family is something we will always treasure and even thinking about it now I have a lump in my throat. My mum, Mary Coe, painted a picture of Wonder and donated it to SOS Galgos and on the beach I was able to present the picture to Wonder's mum and dad, it was quite an emotional moment and as you can see, Wonder is looking at the picture of her wonderful self! Thank you to everyone who made us so welcome in Spain and thank you to Anna Clements, Albert Sorde and volunteers of SOS Galgos who do such a vital job saving and rehoming the galgos and greyhounds that badly need help when they are cast out or neglected. You are in our hearts always. Best wishes, Maria & Paul xxxxxxx To visit the website - www.sosgalgos.com Dear all, a quick update! This little video now has honours on youtube, on 2nd December 08 here are the statistics below. Thank you all so much for watching and leaving such special comments, Wonder has many friends all over the world now! #8 - Most Discussed (This Week) - Pets & Animals #69 - Most Discussed (This Month) -

  • Forgotten friend is a video about the shelter situation in the U.S. The statistics are in the movie. As most of you know, Nessy was adopted out of a local shelter by us on September 1st, 2008. Although she is 11 years old, she brings so much love and joy to our home. I can't imagine someone taking her and just dropping her off at a shelter, knowing she would probably be put down. Not because of her age, but because the shelters are always overcrowded. It's a sad thing for this to happen and anyone who thinks these dogs have no clue what is going on, I recommend you visit a shelter. The song "Forgotten Friend" was graciously sent to me by Maria Daines. It was written for a shelter in Long Island. She gave me permission to use it and I can't say thankyou enough to her and Paul Killington. The work they do for the animals is phenomenol. So my sincere gratitude goes out to both of these wonderful friends of mine. I hope this video brings awareness to any who don't know the statistics. I hope it changes your view on things like this. Although shelters are a great thing, they shouldn't be overcrowded like they are. When we get a pet, it should be for life, not a convenience. Thankyou to all who watch. http://www.maria-daines.com/music-85.html © Maria Daines/Paul Killington All Rights Reserved (mcps) ASCAP 2009

  • Stereo: http://br.youtube.com/watch?v=uUeLAF54m_U&fmt=18 Anonymous: La Folia. Jordi Savall. Rolf Lislevand. Arianna Savall. Pedro Estevan. Dir: Jordi Savall. Over the course of three centuries, more than 150 composers have used it in their works. The first publications of this theme date from the middle of the 17th century, but it is probably much older. Plays of the renaissance theatre in Portugal, including works by Gil Vicente, mention the folia as a dance performed by shepherds or peasants. The Portuguese origin is recorded in the 1577 treatise De musica libri septem by Francisco de Salinas. Examples of early folias include works by Juan del Enzina in 1520, Diego Ortiz in 1553, and Antonio de Cabezón in 1557. Jean-Baptiste Lully, in collaboration with Philidor in 1672, Arcangelo Corelli in 1700, Alessandro Scarlatti in 1710, Antonio Vivaldi in his Opus 1 No 12 of 1705 and Johann Sebastian Bach in his Peasants' Cantata of 1742 are considered to highlight this 'later' folia repeating theme in a brilliant way. In the 19th century the theme's popularity decreased, but it regained composers' interest during the 1930s with Sergei Rachmaninov in his Variations on a theme by Corelli in 1931 and Manuel María Ponce and his Variations on "Spanish Folia" and Fugue for guitar. Since then, it has been frequently used by various composers, such as by Vangelis for the film Conquest of Paradise. The folia melody has also influenced Scandinavian folk music. It is said that around half of the old Swedish tunes are based on la folia. It is possible to recognize a common structure in many Swedish folk tunes, and it is similar to the folia structure. Old folk tunes (19th century or older) which do not have this structure often come from parts of Sweden with little influences from upper classes or other countries.

  • Don't Panic!!!! The dollar and the stock market will collapse THIS WEEK I had a tip about a freaky chap called Reinhardt - He's now gone dark His website is dark; now only reads I Told You So ;-) 6 for 6 Now it's gone altogether. (BUT If you're looking for reinhardt background, a lot of his pages are in google cache - search for reinhardts journal :-) The YouTube page hosted by "a friend" has also gone. (DavidLightman83) This is scary stuff. He has publicly declared Feb 9 and Feb 13 as the dates of the next financial 'Event'. He at one point had the folowing out there regarding Feb 9: Short 7 Now. He's big on cryptic posts - I think the 7 is the US (7th Empire). So he expects the Dollar to drop a lot on Monday and take down the Stock Market with it. He also warned about dodgy items on Citigroups official balance sheets... Citigroup Hides Mystery Meat in Balance Sheet: http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=20601039&sid=aQdj5yq_WnDI What's he on about? These are tax liabilities for the future. Either he's pointing out how dodgy they are, or he's pointing out they stand to gain Billions! Legatus Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5yf1bpq9p9Y BTW that seems to be the Legatus channel; but I might be wrong. Legatus: http://www.legatus.org/public/index.asp The other site in Tampa has it's own web site: http://www.legatustampabay.com/Legatus/default.cfm On there you can find a brochure on the numbers of members. Over 4200 in 2007. Now to be a member you have to have a certain amount of money. Like a lot. And you have to be a CEO or Owner of a business, with at least 30 employees. There is an odd connection here to look at: http://avewatch.com/?p=43 Also, they appear to be involved in Building both Ave Maria University and the town of Ave Maria, Florida. Check on Google Earth - there's nothing there... Yet there are some very nice pictures of the place on Panorama, and the rectory. And a pic of a very drunk teenager showing her knickers!

  • CHRIST ALMIGHTY WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE!!! just to clarify, if you have not seen it, the Christian soldier i am referring to is the one that rambles on with stretching facts and LIES about the pandemic response AND CLAIMS to do this for GOD- She is misguiding the people in the name of GOD and that is WRONG- she got thousands of hits for that crap! something that causes nothing but FEAR and more GUESSING, yet our OWN FARMERS ARE CRYING- THIS IS WRONG. Its time to make viral the REAL ISSUES and stop letting them distract us with something that may or may not happen...what IS HAPPENING is a DEPRESSION. I know I pronounced San Joaquin wrong, get over it please. What do you expect from a New Englander? LOL A video reply to this with some good info: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CJ8P9FwpLxE&feature=response_watch http://www.congress.org/congressorg/bio/userletter/?letter_id=3963752726&content_dir=congressorg http://www.water.ca.gov/drought/archive/ http://www.water.ca.gov/drought/docs/052909drought_update.pdf Water for Farmers in California To: President Barack Obama Sen. Patty Murray Sen. Maria Cantwell Rep. Rick Larsen September 18, 2009 In a time when we are trying to stimulate the economy, it is heartbreaking to see some of the most productive farm land in America turning into a dust bowl and farmers who have worked that land for years standing in food bank lines. Do you want this country to depend on foreign countries for everything? If a foreign country has a disaster, we are the first ones to send aid...WHY are we not helping the people who PAY YOUR SALARY, who grow the food that we need. You have bailed out banks and car companies.....billions of dollars "we the people" will never get back. How do you all sleep at night knowing that you have it in your power to make this right.....to work for people, not a two inch fish. (by the way, the fish doesn't vote) and yet you do nothing to make it better. These people are not looking for a handout...they don't want a bail out....they just want to farm....!!! TUR
