This Akira Kurosawa film is based on the books by Vladimir Arsenyev, a prominent Russian scientist and explorer of the late 19th-early 20th centuries. It is the story of the writerâs long-standing friendship with a taiga trapper named Dersu Uzala. In the course of their travels, a real-life character, Dersu, was revealing to his friend, the secrets of the Ussuri taiga, the animalsâ special ways, the traditions and beliefs of the indigenous people. This motion picture teaches us to approach Nature with loving care, to open up our hearts to man and beast, to bird and flower⦠The understanding and bonding that develops between the two men Arseniev and Dersu is wonderful to see, and over two hours holds your attention with expertly observed minutiae of character and scenic interplay. The last ten minutes cover a lot of ground (no pun intended) but it's all so logical and sad that I always need to see the end credits to recover. So many marvellous scenes: the tiger in the forest in the morning; the phlegmatic reclusive old Chinaman; the raft; wispy blue shaded smoke from night-fires; the conclusion of course; the view of those two great men, the Moon and the Sun in the same shot. Not everyone would like Dersu, their most likely comments being "boring" - but how wrong they are they'll never know!

This is my re-mixed verson of "Sokka's Hardware Store" with better effects, no repeating chorus, and no stupid symbol in the upper right hand corner of the video. The original video took me 26.5 hours to do. I kept the file in my computer and when I tried to open it again, it crashed my computer 5 times! Combined with the time it took me to recover files lost and re-mix this video, it took 42 hours to complete this final verson of Sokka's Hardware Store! This IS a masterpiece!!! The other verson is not that good compared to this verson. I took my time and added great effects to really make the video good. I hope you all like it! The setting sun sliding down the glass faces of the great downtown skyscrapers marked the ebbing of the final hours. As darkness came, the makeshift open-air stage in the middle of Grant Park became a bowl of light - the campaign which began with the poetry of hope and triumphed through the power of the internet ended at last with the blazing magic of theatre. Laser beams fanned out into the sky across the park from the stage, forming an arch of blindingly intense light - probably the first political celebration in history that would have been visible from the Moon. Mr Obama, who all through the campaign has enjoyed the luck to match his undoubted brilliance, was even lucky with the Chicago weather. The long lines of supporters began forming halfway around the park four hours before the gates were due to open. They waited in shirtsleeves, enjoying the freakishly warm November sunshine. When the gates finally opened they charged in, whooping and screaming with excitement - and in that moment you realised how Mr Obama won the presidency. It was rock-festival behaviour from what pollsters would call the rock-festival generation. The Democratic campaign reached out through the internet to the young and recruited an army of smart, energetic and committed volunteers - their tickets to this final rally were sent out, fittingly, on the eve of the vote by e-mail. They followed the triumphs and occasional disappointments of election night on a giant screen, greeting minor adjustments to the vote in key states with gales of applause and reacting to bigger news, like an outright victory, with a hurricane of sound that would have frightened the Beatles off stage. a huge back-up on i-40 just east of albuquerque for most of the day. a fuel tanker truck crashed ---spilling hundreds of gallons of diesel all over the highway. eastbound i-40 finally reopened a few hours ago . jeremy jojola is here with a break down on what happened and why the driver is in some trouble. jeremy. it happened around six this morning--- shutting down i-40 in both directions near tijeras for eight- and-a-half hours. what a head- ache. this is video from our chopper over the area recorded a couple of hours ago--showing the big mess, but the freeway back open. stat police tell us the driver of the fuel truck carrying 300 gallons of diesel ... was sleepy. the driver fell asleep on i-40 just near the tijeras exit, crashing his truck and spilling all of that fuel on the highway. nobody was seriously hurt-- but they were seriously inconvencienced--i- 40 ...all the way down to eubank turned into a parking lot---- police routing people to old highway 66 all day to get through the canyon which became congested itself. state police say that sleeply, irresponsible driver has been cited for careless driving.. back to you. you can expect more delays on i-40 in the east mountains over the next week because of construction. final paving is planned from zuzax to tijeras... so at times, expect just one westbound lane to be open. work will take place during daylight hours. An unbelievable drama unfolded over the skies of Colorado on Thursday. An experimental balloon, soaring thousands of feet in-the-air, reportedly with a six-year-old boy inside. But the story took a twist when the boy was eventually found hiding in the attic of the family's garage. It all began with a gut-wrenching report that little 6-year-old Falcon Heene was trapped inside his father's experimental helium balloon. First his neighbors and then the nation tracked the homemade flying saucer, as it raced across the Colorado plains climbing to more than 7,000 feet. Then almost 2-hours into its' flight the balloon began to slowly lose helium and in turn momentum ultimately landing harmlessly in an open field 50-miles from the Heene home. But touch down only served to extend the agony. Sheriff's deputies quickly learned Falcon was not inside. Recovery teams re-traced the balloon's path this time looking down instead of up and like his family fearing the worst. "The only thing I could think of was did he fall out," said Richard Henne the boy�s father. Another two hours passed and with crews running out of places to look this unbelievable story took another bizarre twist. "He just walked up to us, it was like a miracle to me," said Mayumi Henne the boy�s mother. It seems Falcon�s accent had only reached as high as the top of his family's home. Where were you? "Attic". Why were you in the attic. "I was scared," said the six year old falcon. But there are some who now question whether it was fear or fame that kept falcon in the attic for more than 4 hours suggesting that the event was a publicity stunt. Richard Heene vehemently denied the allegations Friday morning on the Today Show. �Absolutely not, absolutely not and now I�m starting to get ticked off because I�m getting asked this and um, what do I have to gain from this, I�m not selling anything," said Richard Henne.
