Adrian Van Hooydonk, Head of Design - BMW Automobiles explains the secret behind the "shape of power": the exterior of the BMW 1 Series Coupé. A long bonnet, a set-back trapezoidal greenhouse and short overhangs: the BMW 1 Series Coupé looks quick, even when stationary. The clearly defined shoulder line and long wheelbase confidently highlight its perfect proportions from its muscular front to its powerful and wide rear. In line with legendary BMW 2002 tradition, the new BMW 1 Series Coupé provides the ideal measurements to deliver optimum driving dynamics.
The new BMW Z4 is larger than its predecessor and this results in greater interior space and luggage capacity. With the roof up, headroom has been increased by 44mm while the greater car width and design enhancements have led to 20mm more shoulder room and 43mm more elbow room. Nadya Arnout, interiordesigner for the new BMW Z4, explains us how she used the additional space to create a sportive and elegant ambiance.

It's a sad day for all the BMW Sauber F1 fans out in the world. The BMW Group will not continue its Formula One campaign after the end of the 2009 season. The BMW Management Board has decided to restructure BMW Motorsport's activities yesterday. Reason: the decision is dedicated to the development of new drive technologies and projects in the field of sustainability. BMW will continue its programs in a number of motor sports series, anyway.
