PUBLIC DOMAIN At a city zoo, Serbian-born fashion designer, Irena Dubrovna (Simone Simon), stands before the cage of the black panther, apparently trying to make a sketch of it. She catches the attention of an American naval construction designer, Oliver Reed (Kent Smith), when she balls up a draft of the sketch and tries to throw it in a trash bin, without success. The two then become engaged in a conversation, with Irena eventually agreeing to taking him to her apartment for lunch. As they walk away, once of Irena's botched drafts blows in the wind, and is revealed to show a panther impaled by a sword.

PUBLIC DOMAIN Fun Sci Fi movie from the 50's While boating (and possibly water-skiing), a quartet of teens, Reg (Don Sullivan), Skip (Paul Pepper), Julie (Mitzie Albertson), and Pam (Brianne Murphy), accidentally discover an island run by a mad scientist named Doctor Myra who intends to turn everyone in the United States into a zombie. The teenagers become trapped on the island, and are temporarily imprisoned in cages. They are freed when other teenagers arrive with the sheriff (who turns out to be in league with Doctor Myra). A complicated fight scene serves as the climax, in which a de-zombified gorilla arrives just in time to attack Dr. Myra's henchmen and allow the teens to escape. When they are safely back on the mainland, it is implied that the teens will receive a reward for discovering the island, and will have an audience with the President of the United States.

Sci Fi classic A Boy and His Dog is a 1975 post-apocalyptic science fiction film directed by L. Q. Jones and based on the Harlan Ellison short story of the same title, which originally appeared in 1969. A revised and expanded version was printed in Ellison's 1976 story collection The Beast that Shouted Love at the Heart of the World, and Ellison continued the story in the graphic novel Vic and Blood. The film version is often cited as an inspiration for George Miller's Mad Max though Miller has said he didn't view Jones' film until after he had completed his own[citation needed]. The movie was also distributed after the initial run under the name, "Psycho Boy and His Killer Dog" among other titles.
