My camera is still broken! Hence, sound only. Ranking currently as number two in a list of pieces composed by Kyle (topped only by "Lonely"), this piece is still wonderful and teaches you a few fine things about composition too! This is an improvisation on the melody and feel of the original recording. In my opinion, the *feel* of a piece is more important than the notes. It's not perfect, neither in regards to correct notes, nor in how closely it matches the original composition. I do not have sheet music. What I had in front of me were the lyrics, courtesy of was Leela McMullen (KrystalEpyon). Happy New Year y'all! I return with a camera and recorded music! This is "Stampede" ("...To Die For" in some releases) from The Lion King, the best Disney movie. (This is a proven fact.) After buying every Lion King sheet music book available, I was disappointed that none had the best and most dramatic song in the whole trilogy of The Lion King. I'm not happy with this version yet, as it is a bit sloppy and rushed. If I get around to actually writing sheet music, I will upload another version. But so far, this is just an arrangement by ear, there IS NO SHEET MUSIC. DO NOT ASK. The Lion King © Walt Disney Studios "Stampede" © Hans Zimmer / Disney Enjoy! SHEET MUSIC AND MP3: http://music.sebastianwolff.info/ (Oh, and the freaky eyes - sorry, it's this: http://tinyurl.com/eaeq7) ----- Hokay, so, in lieu of proper sheet music, I decided to arrange my favorite KH / KH2 songs for piano. In chronological order: Dearly Beloved, Hikari, Organization XIII, Roxas, Kairi, Waltz of the Damned, This is Halloween, Scherzo di Notte, Hallow Bastion, Rowdy Rumble, Darkness of the Unknown, Pirate's Gigue, Dance to the Death, The 13th Dilemma, Fragments of Sorrow, Destati, Guardando Nel Buio, Hand in Hand, Friends in my Heart, Treasured Moments. I improvised the entire medley; I had a bit of help from ichigo's (http://www.ichigos.com) with Hikari and I wrote some sheets for Hallow Bastion and Darkness of the Unknown myself. I'm surprised I didn't learn this lovely melody before. Anyhow, "Destiny Islands" - the first part from Kingdom Hearts I, the second part the arranged version from Kingdom Hearts II. Any wrong notes are to be blamed on my out-of-tune piano. And no, I don't have sheet music. Search with (the) Google. (c) Nobuo Uematsu, Yoko Shimomura / Square Enix. Yes, Nobuo did help with composing the soundtrack. GermanSeabass http://sebastianwolff.info
Kyle Landry's (kyle556) composition "Lonely" - one of the most inspirational pieces I've heard lately. (Well, in the last 10 months) This is an improvisation on the melody and feel of the original recording. It's not perfect, neither in regards to correct notes, nor in how closely it matches the original composition. I do not have sheet music. What I had in front of me were the lyrics, courtesy of was Leela McMullen (KrystalEpyon). I've always loved this piece. Why? I had to like it, since I got to listen to it so many times while trying to beat all sorts of heartless bosses... </geek> Anyhow- this is an IMPROV (hence, no sheet music) on Destiny's Force, composed by Yoko Shimomura, released by Square Enix for the game Kingdom Hearts. Copyright 2002 Square Enix. I am not worthy... GermanSeabass http://sebastianwolff.info
Short piano-arranged version of "Traverse Town" from Kingdom Hearts I (and II and Re:Com) I don't own this song, nor anything about it. No, I didn't particularly like "Titanic," [don't kill me] but the music was the most acceptable part of the film. Anyhow, here's something in the spirit of February 14th. It was mostly sight-reading, and as such there may be a few slight errors. Also, the parts that were to complex to just read off the page I replaced with improvised arpeggios... so yeah. Tay- I just couldn't resist :D A piano-solo variation / improvisation on "Chocolate Rain" by Tay Zonday. I couldn't think of a more creative title, so meh. Chocolate Rain © Tay Zonday. Watch the original, if you haven't already: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EwTZ2xpQwpA Listening to this again, I notice that it came out quite a bit darker than I anticipated. Enjoy, GermanSeabass http://sebastianwolff.info
So, I finally decided to record an improvisation on the piano. I've been improvising for over two years, and now I feel confident with posting something. I've played around with this melody for a few days and I think I'll incorporate it into my next movie as the theme/motif. Influences: Yoko Shimomura, Nobuo Uematsu, Philip Glass [after just watching "The Illusionist" and enjoying his score for the film] No, no sheet music available, don't ask (please?) GermanSeabass http://sebastianwolff.info
Here's my entry for the Inverloch fanmusic contest: a short composition titled "Inverloch Fantasy," for lack of a better name. My original plan of an orchestral score was replaced by a piano solo when my keyboard failed. Bah, technology. Piano solo worked better in the end after all.... What I tried to create with the composition was a melody that encompassed the entire mood of the story. To emulate the tone of most of Inverloch, I aimed for a fast-paced epic-esque feel; something that fit the title "fantasy." I was trying to imagine this as a background score for any given scene when Acheron, Lei'ella and the others are on the perilous journey, traveling to destinations unknown... </poet> I've been playing around with other melodies as well- all inspired by Inverloch. This one has turned out best (so far). Inverloch © Sarah Ellerton http://inverloch.seraph-inn.com http://music.sebastianwolff.info/#rec GermanSeabass http://sebastianwolff.info
My camera is still broken! Hence, sound only. I'm surprised I haven't played this yet. This was a request from aphrodite1404 with a special arrangement of the song. Personally, I like this a lot better than the version from the FFVII Piano Collection. Also, I spiced it up a bit with improv. And such. Sheet music is all over the internets. Go look for it, using your best friend: http://google.com Everything © 植松伸夫 (Nobuo Uematsu) and Square Enix. I don't own it, sadly. Yes, I like medleys. This is a smallish medley featuring piano arrangements from my current favorite orchestral scores, Pirates of the Caribbean. Yes, I did make a slight edit. A single wrong note ruined the entire piece, and that just didn't work out for me. The songs, in order: • Davey Jones • The Medallion Calls (variation) • Hoist The Colours ♪♫ © Klaus Badelt, Hans Zimmer, Gore Verbinski Pirates of the Caribbean © Walt Disney For sheet music, I can redirect your attention to amazon.com, where official sheet music is being sold; or http://www.musiccorner.co.uk/ GermanSeabass http://sebastianwolff.info
Thanks to transcribed sheet music of the song by Duncan Bohannon (oh, and also thanks to Danny Elfman for composing it) - here is Victor's Piano Solo from Tim Burton's Corpse Bride. If you've seen the movie, you'll know that the last two (cluster) chords are intentional and the piece *actually* does stop there due to a sudden interruption... All (c) to Danny Elfman and WarnerBros. for releasing it... And no, I will not give you sheet music, Google will. Use it. Or click here: http://people.cs.vt.edu/~jlinford/scores/Victor_s_Piano_Solo.pdf
Here's a preview of the upcoming new video... the second Kingdom Hearts Piano Medley. Due to the immense support from all of you, I've decided to make another one. I uploaded the first medley last year on the 18th, and I should have the second one on the same day this year. It will contain songs from Kingdom Hearts II, Final Mix, and RE:Com. I'm not too sure about the ones in parentheses yet- either because It'd be difficult transposing to the key it's in, or just because I don't know it well enough yet :3 Don't ask for sheet music, I have none to give.
