"because the streets are so wide, if we are going to reduce the number of traffic lanes from three to two there is going to be a lot of excess space, instead of leaving that space open and giving drivers the impression that they are driving down a street that is wider than necessary we are going to have parking as well as a designated width for bicyclists...but that requires further study as well."
