  • Here's one from about a year ago! Never seen before, :) A friend of mine took this while playing keys at the same time in our band called , "Fullhouse" ,,, and got some nice movement clips from our gig, last year, for "Monica's" 14th birthday party celebration in San Mateo, Calif. He was behind us playing while filming this video segment so that's why you see mostly our backs - Lol! I was playing my late 60's "Mosrite Celebrity Model" Guitar, going through a 1973 Fender Quad Reverb Amp! "Cowabunga" Surf Medley!

  • More enchanced version on "All the Things You Are" Orange Gretsch Nashville!, Here's a slightly more evolved, "All the Things You Are" , A little more advanced then yesterday, maybe, I keep getting more ideas to enhance this arrangement, Sort of an evolving, unfolding piece, I'm looking into approaches like more Tri tone subs, Inner voice movements, New inversions, Altered chords more Bass lines, fills and the like. Kind of a little Study ,,,, :) ... Again, this was taken with my New Sony HDR-SR7 HD Camcorder. « less

  • "Something a little different in Gretsch and Fender Land!" - 7-16-2009 ... Whoa, I hit upon something nice!, I love this "Fender Jaguar HH" Guitar I recently scored but I just wasn't wild about the sound, pickups, so I began thinking and experimenting so decided to try replacing the stock White Duncan pickups with some Gretsch Filtertrons from a 1996 Gretsch Double Anniversity Guitar. Well, it was a task beyond duty first enlarging the pickguard holes, putting in wood shims, foam underneath ,,, but the the hardest part, was trying to figure out the wiring logic? being that the stock Duncans in the HH were four conductor wires with another bare ground. After several trials, I figured out which was the proper Hot and Ground (black to hot:; green and bare to ground for the neck pup and Red to hot and green and bare to ground for the bridge pup ,,, and throw away the red and white wires) )and then which wires to which in all the mini circuits then I had trouble with one of the pups sounding weaker and buzzing horribly if you got near it. I finally figured out that it was those rollers in the Jaguar H Rhythm circuit that were playing a funny game and that I had to turn thm off. I still have to study that more! Very complicated wiring system! Anyway, Much to my suprise after I got it all together, I fell in love with this guitar! It just has something, a real sweet Gretsch like sound but all it's own! The bridge pup almost sounds like a soft Telecaster. Has the twang but sof and Gretsch like! And these are stock 90's Gretsch Pickups! I was thinking of trying different pups too but it sounds so good and has a character, that I'm keeping it stock, at least for awhile, maybe perm?,,, I have to test it out with the Band (Field Test) next. Anyway, wanted to share!, This may be one of my best sounding fave axes yet? Something different in Gretsch and Fender Land! Category: Music

  • This is a Hi Def video and VEOH is the best format for this! Playing my Gretsch 6121 RoundUp again today, going through various tone switchings. Also, this is after I cemented the bridge pickup bobbin in place. Now it doesn't rattle and seems cleaner! Using a 70's Fender Princeton Reverb Amp. 11-20-2008
