"You sailed the sea" Romantic song.
With the "credit crunch" biting, how many of us are (in effect) saying 'give us water'?
Words/Music: Philip Seibel (Leddrain) www.leddrain.net The video itself is a look at ageism and how it affects the most vulnerable, the young and the old. Yet both could offer so much more than Society is prepared to imagine.
Charlie Parker (Lenny North) is told to "move on" by a New York cop. Cue for a song with the same name.
Twelve buskers return to New York, meet up, exchange experience and views. They get arrested and thrown in jail. Overnight, they have a dream in which their personal artistic hero faces the trial to come. Written and directed by Ken post, the play was performed six times at the New York International Fringe Festival in 1999. In this clip, "Jack Kerouac" has completed his trial and sings his vindication song.
Danny, the 'daddy of buskers'. Madeleine, the Queen of Jazz.
This is a remix of the song I wrote dedicated to my mother, Asa Byron gudmundsdottir.
This Leddrain song deals with the dark issue of suicide and its waste of future possibility. Life is a gift that offers good and bad, but you have to see out the ride to find out which is which.
The scratchy, rawness of Nature and the tenacity of Human is a feature of the history of Iceland. The apparent serenity of Iceland scenery is tempered by a sharp reminder of the adolescence of the land as it gradually evolves. It might seem a slow process to us, but Nature is urgently intent on the task.
Iceland: Man vs nature, man controlled by nature, or man controlling nature? No contest. Nature is the ultimate force. But a thousand years of my ancestors have wrestled with it. This video is designed to demonstrate the power of the music track "Lead Rain", performed by Leddrain (Philip Seibel). www.leddrain.net If you feel you can do a video to match the grandeur of this song, contact me at buskerbrian@lycos.com
A kind of offbeat, avant garde video for this Philip seibel song.
A busker sets off on the task of following the Rolling Stones tour of 2003, busking outside the venue stadiums and hoping that Mick or Keith will eventually recognise his devoted efforts in some way. For info on the movie, visit www.ken-post.com
A cryptic summary of the 750,000 handwritten diary against the highly relevant boulevard of broken dreams. A solid overview (overall) of the plot and dilemnas faced in the Labyrinth Busker Journal
This song was written in memory of my mother, Asa Byron Gudmundsdottir. This recording is the only one I have of it and it was done in a hurry while busking round Europe. In fact, most recordings of my songs were done this way. The pictures of Reykjavik are courtesy of my brother, Mike.
"Burn", a song written and performed by Philip Seibel supplies a sharply contrasting background to this Peter tricker video. Art is a thing that works best with extremes. It is a quest to enliven profound thoughts and ideas in the individual who encounters it. Art should look at our smallest thoughts - and make them big for awhile.
Feeling nostalgic about past love? Time moves on, but love lingers on within our memory.
The music of Leddrain can be found at www.leddrain.net Philip Seibel is the songwriter of all Leddrain songs. Do you think you have a video that might suit one of his songs?
Atalanta was a daughter whose father wanted a son. She strived to fulfill the 'son' expectation to the point where she outdid all males in physical races. Her father said,"Marry!" She agreed, but only if a spouse could beat her in a race. If they did not, she would kill them. Many noble men lost their life seeking her hand, but Melanion called on the aid of winged feet to win her heart.
