Oh Wow Oh Wow Oh Wow.... this was the show to be at in NYC on August 7th. The Beacon Theatre was one big ho down. If it wasn't country, bluegrass, or honky tonk, it was a mixture of all three.
Fine so this is a bit of head fake. Radio Happy Hour is a radio show... but it doesn't get aired on the radio. What? Ok OK relax, and hold your horses. This show is so awesome people like Andrew W.K. guests... VERY FUNNY

During the great Halloween season all these funny stores just pop up all over nyc. ssscccccaaaaarrrrryyyy stuff
the nyc marathon is one of the best sporting events to watch. first off it's free, and you can see so many great parts of the city as you follow the athletes around.
There are all these funny Japanese cafeterias just off of 5th Avenue south of 42nd Street. The places are really good for an inexpensive luch, which is not that typical for Japanese food.
The Nike Store is a great place. I know it's sort of tourist place here in nyc, but they also have only one of four NikeID locations. You can customize your own shoe (more selection then online).
Loudon Wainwright is awesome. he's also a pretty funny guy. this was the encore of his very special Charlie Poole concert. totally worth checking out.
The Dead Weather played Terminal 5 in NYC on July 17, 2009. Ephman caught Hang You From the Heavens, ironically on the evening Walter Cronkite passed away.

Yum Yum Bangkok is a great Thai food restaurant in NYC's Hell's Kitchen area. They started with one location and now have 3 on the same block!
Yeah this one goes out to Officer Boner from the 6th Precinct from the West Village NYC for honking him. He was a total jerk-off.
this is a really great band to check out. Lot's of energy, and the horn section really helps puts the power in their music.
