As the countdown to the 79th Annual Academy Awards begins, let's take a look back to the historic 2002 show when Halle Berry became the first black woman to be honored Best Actress (after several nominations from other peers) for Monster's Ball. NOTE: I was originally going to post the video on YouTube (of all places), but the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences have been on the prowl lately pulling lots of clips from past Oscar shows.
The 2001 opening to CTV's long-running magazine program "W5", which premiered in 1966 -- two years before "60 Minutes"!
The 1994 open and close to CTV News with Lloyd Robertson; this video was originally on YouTube for a while until it was taken down (actually, the person who posted the clip pulled it himself before CTV did). Thankfully, I downloaded it before that happened.
The opening to the CTV Feature Presentation from 2003; this one features the 2000 movie "Bedazzled."
