Gas is high. Airlines are nickel and diming you to death. And your employees are getting squeezed. This state of travel could put video conferencing over the top. Telecommuting may hold special appeal for Generation Y workers, more than two-thirds of whom say they want to work for an environmentally responsible company. (That compares to 52% of baby boomers, according to results of a recent Harris Interactive survey.) According to the Environmental Protection Agency, $4.5 billion worth of gas would be saved if employees that could feasibly work from their homes did so 1.6 days per week. Distributed by Tubemogul.

For the second year in a row, the global biofuels market was slightly larger than both solar and wind, reaching $20.5 bln in 2006 and projected to grow to more than $80 bln by 2016. Clean Edge projects solar photovoltaics (modules, system components, and installations) will grow from a $15.6 bln market in 2006 to $69.3 bln by 2016; wind power installations will expand from $17.9 bln in 2006 to $60.8 bln in 2016; and the markets for fuel cells and distributed hydrogen will grow from $1.4 bln in 2006 to $15.6 bln over the next decade.

I just had my first MRI, it was truly a new experience which I found fascinating. I was expecting it to be fast and quite, but I was wrong in both counts. It sounded like an old out-of-tuned church organ, only playing one note for a solid two minutes. Laying in one position for thirty minutes wasn't an easy feat for this hyperactive person. I haven't receive the results yet, but I will never forget the adventure. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is primarily used in medical imaging to visualize the structure and function of the body. It provides detailed images of the body in any plane. MR has much greater soft tissue contrast than computed tomography (CT) making it especially useful in neurological, musculoskeletal, cardiovascular, and oncological imaging. Unlike CT it uses no ionizing radiation, but uses a powerful magnetic field to align the magnetization of hydrogen atoms in the body. Radio waves are used to systematically alter the alignment of this magnetization, causing the hydrogen atoms to ...

The Internet address space available under the current protocol, IPv4, will run out real soon, 2011, and the only long term solution is to transition to IPv6 which has sufficient address capacity to give every grain of sand on the planet its own unique Internet address, or something like that. Only 16% of the total IPv4 address space remained unallocated in early 2008, this situation is critical for the future of the Internet economy because all new users connecting to the Internet, and all businesses that require IP addresses for their growth, will be affected by the change from the current status of ready availability of unallocated IPv4 addresses. Social networking sites act as a conduit to connect like-minded people and they are therefore still attracting members because it fuels the human need to feel part of a community. Social media networks are here to stay - though thinking they will stay as they are indefinitely is unrealistic and impractical. They will of course evolve. Social network sites are web-based services that allow individuals to (1) construct a public or semi-public profile within a bounded system, (2) articulate a list of other users with whom they share a connection, and (3) view and traverse their list of connections and those made by others within the system. The nature and nomenclature of these connections may vary from site to site. Distributed by Tubemogul.
