  • Welcome brides, grooms, and future wedding guests I'm Harmonie Krieger your host for nuptialstv.com your video guide to planning your wedding and beyond. On this edition of Nuptialstv we will be covering Wedding Cake Etiquette. Here are the guidelines to the handling, cutting, and serving of wedding cakes. This is hardly surprising because just about everything in a traditional wedding is governed by etiquette and tradition. Many couples, no matter how formal or informal the wedding is, try to observe wedding cake guidelines. Protocol for wedding cakes includes the following: * The cake should always be displayed at the reception on a beautifully decorated table. It should be in front of the bride’s table and set so that while it’s is on display it does not block a view of the head table. An ornamental knife should be placed on the table. * Protocol demands that the cake must be cut at the right time in the reception. For informal ceremonies and receptions this means serving it ...

  • The "Grey's Anatomy" and "Knocked Up" star walked down the aisle wearing a vintage style, silk Oscar De La Renta wedding dress with 1940s style flourishes like a ruffled collar, a ruffled hem that cascades like a waterfall, and a form fitting silhouette that showed off Heigl's figure. And the bride's accessories matched the classic style, as Heigl wore diamond fleur de lis earrings, a 50's inspired short-hat cage veil, and carried a bouquet of white roses. The ceremony took place late last year, two days before Christmas, and her whole ensemble fit perfectly into the wedding day theme of a “winter wonderland.” And you can replicate Heigl's retro glam look, even if you don't have Oscar De La Renta himself designing your gown. Almost a year after her wedding, many gown designers have been influenced by the 40's inspired gown, so you're sure to find a wedding dress that can give you that same look...at a fraction of the price. Because you deserve to feel as beautiful as a movie star on your ...

  • NuptialsTV.Com the popular new romantic comedy “Made of Honor,” Patrick Dempsey, the one and only Dr. McDreamy, is asked by his best female friend to be her maid of honor. Is this just the stuff of Hollywood comedy or can you actually have a guy maid of honor… or female groomsmen? The answer is pretty obvious… you can do whatever you want…it’s your wedding! If you are a future bride with a guy friend you want to include, he can stand for you instead of a female, and vice versa for grooms with female friends… just make sure that the males are wearing matching formal wear to other males in the wedding party, and that the women standing for either the bride or groom are wearing matching dresses to the other women. Oh, and try to make sure that your male maid of honor or female groomsman doesn’t try to break up your wedding like McDreamy did in the movie! That’s all the time we have for NuptialsTV.Com.

  • Grammy winning folk musician Jewel married her longtime boyfriend, rodeo star Ty Murray, earlier this summer in a very, very intimate ceremony on a beach in the Bahamas. It was so intimate, in fact, that there were only two guests who saw the couple get hitched. Jason Freese, Jewel's former keyboard player, married the couple after becoming ordained online, and his wife was the only other witness at their intimate wedding in a cabana at the Atlantis Resort. Jewel looked gorgeous in a strapless wedding gown designed by Monique Lhullier, and Murray projected a casual cool by wearing jeans and cowboy boots. The couple didn't make a big deal of their pre-wedding plans, because they wanted to elope in the tropical and romantic evening ceremony. And if you've ever dreamed of getting hitched in the Bahamas or any other exotic location, maybe following the “Who Will Save Your Soul” singer's lead and eloping is the way to go. You won't have to spend all the money on a big ceremony and reception for a ...

  • The talk show queen married her long time girlfriend, “Arrested Development” and “Alley McBeal” beauty Portia De Rossi in an intimate ceremony in the couple's backyard in Los Angeles. Only 19 close friends were invited to the ceremony, where Ellen wore an all white pant suit ensemble with a classy vest while De Rossi looked luminous in a backless, light pink dress. And one of the big advantages of a wedding between two women is that both of their outfits were made by the same designer, red hot fashion icon Zac Posen. Ellen and Portia were able to make their relationship official after the California Supreme Court ruled that a ban on gay marriage was unconstitutional earlier this year. And you can have a similar, intimate wedding to Ellen and Portia's, whether you're a lesbian couple or a straight couple looking to get hitched. Follow the couple's lead and make your ceremony a low key affair by throwing your wedding and reception at home in your own backyard, and invite just your ...

  • nuptialstv.com So is a sleeveless or strapless dress appropriate for a winter wedding? Of course it is, as long as the bride is comfortable. Strapless and sleeveless gowns look good at any formal event at any time of the year, including in the winter. Just make sure the bride is not too cold... if your wedding is a cold region, you'll probably be getting married indoors anyway. But the bride might want to consider getting a wrap just in case she gets chilly. So go with a strapless or sleeveless gown if that's the right one for you, no matter what season it is... just don't make yourself cold or uncomfortable for the sake of looking good.

  • "Grey's Anatomy" and "Private Practice" star Kate Walsh plays a tough doctor on TV, but she softened up considerably for her big wedding day when she married studio executive Alex Young. Walsh and Young opted for a more traditional ceremony at a beautiful church, complete with a gospel choir. Walsh looked stunning as her "Grey's Anatomy" co stars watched her walk down the aisle in a lace Monique Lhullier gown with three quarter length sleeves. The festivities then moved to the elegant Ojai Valley Inn and Spa for a reception lit by hundreds of candles. And your wedding can be just as classy as Kate's... Monique Lhullier might not personally design your gown for you, but you can buy a similar Monique design in stores with a fit to flair look that shares the classic elegance of Kate's custom wedding dress. And you'll look great wearing the gown when you get married in a beautiful, classic church or in a more untraditional setting of your choice. But if you want to take the best page out of Kate's wedding ...

  • Hi, I'm Izabella, a newly wed for nuptials tv.com here to share my wedding story. I am going to talk about how I met my future husband. I met my husband, Michael in the last place I ever expected to find love let alone the man I would marry! I met him in Cancun, Mexico. I went was there with a few friends from college during Memorial Day Weekend. I was single, and very happy about it, and meeting guys was the furthest thing from my mind. I remember getting to the hotel where we were staying and seeing a couple getting married and I couldn't' help but think You don't marry someone you met in Cancun!" Well, I guess I jinxed myself, because a few hours later, I met my future husband at that very same hotel. We hit it off and we ended up having a long distance relationship from where he lived in NY and where I lived in Chicago. I'm Izabella Wentz congratulations to the grooms and best wishes to all you future brides.

  • Welcome brides, grooms, and future wedding guests I'm Harmonie Krieger your host for nuptialstv.com your video guide to planning your wedding and beyond. On this edition of Nuptialstv we will be covering Exchanging traditional vows in the Wedding Ceremony. Weddings are about tradition and nothing says tradition more than the exchanging of the rings and wedding vows. Some couples want to write their own wedding vows and others want to find vows that reflect their own personal thoughts. Wedding vows can be long and elaborate or short and sweet. Here are a few sample ceremony wedding vows that may be what you are looking for: * This ring is a token of my love. I marry you with this ring and with all that I am. * I give this ring as my gift to you. Wear it and think of me and know that I love you. * This ring is a token of my love, my fidelity and of the unending circle of our lives for yesterday, today and tomorrow. * I pledge to you all that I am and will ever be. • Hey everyone, My name is Izabella Wentz, a newly wed for nuptialstv.com here to share my wedding story. I am going to talk about how I was proposed to. Michael and I had been dating long distance for a while and he decided to move from NY to Chicago to live with me. One Sunday, Michael arranged for us to take a catamaran trip to a small island. We sailed in the wind listening to the Eagles, and I just remember thinking that it was the best day of my life. We stopped to go snorkeling on the way. After a few hours we sat down to have a small lunch. Michael started to video taping me, then one of our crew members came up and took the camera. Michael grabbed my hand and took me to the beach, where I noticed that red rose petals were spread out. He turned towards me, got down on one knee, and asked me to be his wife. I said of course! I was on cloud nine, and so elated, that I didn't look at the ring until we walked back to the table to get our stuff! We sailed back and popped open a bottle of Dom ...

Towards the end of the rehearsal, we gave gifts to our wedding party and parents. Michael got his groomsmen flasks, cigar cutters, nice cigars and whisky. I got my girls pink flasks with their initials; Swarovsky Crystal studded business card holders, and silver jewelry to wear for the wedding. • Piano rock legend Billy Joel recently got hitched to TV host and culinary artist Katie Lee, who is 32 years younger than the mega-selling musician. Joel, who was famously married to “Uptown Girl” Christie Brinkley until the early 90s, wanted his third marriage to stick, so he went all out with a to die for ceremony. The wedding was held at Joel's 15 acre oceanside Long Island mansion, where guests were treated to an outdoor, “Italian harvest feast.” Katie Lee looked spectacular in a sleeveless Oscar De La Renta gown made from Chantilly lace that featured a scalloped hemline. After the couple exchanged vows, Katie slipped into a black Dolce and Gabanna dress with aquamarine jewels for the remainder of the evening. At the reception, guests dined on Italian style dishes and a well stocked buffet of fish, meat and cheeses, and finished their meal with slices of a rich, chocolate covered wedding cake. The couple's famous friends danced the night away and were moved by a special ...

  • Welcome brides, grooms, and future wedding guests I'm Harmonie Krieger your host for nuptialstv.com your video guide to planning your wedding and beyond. On this edition of Nuptialstv we will be covering the role of the wedding planner. Traditionally, wedding planners were friends or family members who took on the burden of managing your wedding details. Once upon a time, the bride’s parents were in charge of paying for and coordinating the wedding. The bride’s mother was and often still is the de facto wedding planner. However, modern wedding planning is a direct result of the expanding family living miles apart from their immediate family. When engaged couples live so far away from their immediate families, the benefits of hiring a professional to handle the details and coordinate their wedding can save you time, money as well as providing you with stress relief in the months, weeks and days leading up to the big event. When you hire a wedding planner, you will be hiring an economic ...

  • nuptialstv.com Before Christina Aguilera met Jordan Bratman, she was a very dirrrrty girl... until the music producer popped the question and made her an honest woman. During the traditional Jewish ceremony, chosen because of Aguilera's new hubby's faith, the singer wore a form fitting Christian Lacroix dress with a large ruffled train as the couple read hand written vows to eachother. After the ceremony, guests were treated to an indoor winter wonderland, designed to give the feeling of X-Tina's favorite month, December. Guests like Sharon Stone were treated to a menu filled with the couple's favorite comfort foods, including roat chicken, short ribs, mac and cheese, and onion rings. After eating, Christian slipped into a white minidress and belted out a couple songs, including the Etta James classic “At Last,” which she dedicated to her new husband. Maybe Christina will sing at your wedding... just tell her you have onion rings and Mac and Cheese on your menu, and she might just show up.

  • nuptialstv.com The No Doubt front woman pulled up in a blue Rolls Royce an hour late to her own wedding in London's St. Paul's Convent Garden, but that didn't stop her from getting hitched to the former lead singer of 90s alt rock heroes Bush. Stefani looked classy and stunning in a custom made, pink and white Dior gown, which featured an antique lace veil, but she was almost upstaged by Rossdale's Hungarian Sheepdog, Winston, who was dressed for the occasion in a garland of red flowers as he joined the wedding party. And two weeks later, the couple did it all over again in LA for a vow renewal ceremony that their Hollywood based friends like Brad Pitt, Jennifer Aniston, and Ben Stiller, could attend. So let that be a lesson to you. If Brad Pitt can't make your wedding, just throw a second ceremony. He'll really appreciate it.
