A clip from episode 23. Another one of my favorite scenes. Tutu has gone into the crazy world of Drosselmeyer to stop him from perverting the fairy tale further. She must escape from this mad realm, and leaps into the light, into... In this scene, if classical music were not the theme of the series, I can easily imagine hearing the refrain from Erasure's "In My Arms" playing as Princess Tutu leaps through the gate of light.
Myco, Eternal Snow
Taken from episode 52. Spoilers. Full Moon's final concert, to "Love Chronicle." Izumi chimes in at the end with the angel motif (I prefer it over the original one Takuto did in during "Myself.")
A clip from episode #4. Mytho's missing, and Rue and Ahiru are looking for him. Though we can't really call them buddies, Ahiru's silly personality does win Rue over a bit. See 1:43 when Ahiru is unintentionally mimicking Rue's out-of-breath speech :)
A clip from episode 7. Princess Tutu and Mytho together, alone, for an evening confession? Well, it kinda looks that way until Princess Claire decides to stop in to say hello.
A clip from episode 24. We're approaching critical mass in this clip. I'm reminded of Yeats' "The Second Coming:" things fall apart, the center cannot hold; mere anarchy is loosened on the world. What we've got here is Mytho in raven form, the pieces of him begging Princess Tutu not to do what she intends, Princess Claire (or "Kraehe") finding out her true parental origins, and a huge monster raven looming over the horizon. Oh boy.
Blue Flow
This is the clip of the "pop star tupperware container" invention exchange that the Mad Scientists have developed. He he, Mike Nelson really convinced me he was Morrissey when I first saw this on Comedy Central when I was much younger and more impressionable. "Did I mention that I cried?"
Intros to each of The Pet Shop of Horrors' four episodes. I've reduced the audio volume a bit. These are the Dream-Anime fansubs.
Angelique "When the Heart Awakens" OP+ED.
Taken from episode 19. Containers spoilers. Mitsuki awakens in a lighthouse, unsure how she arrived. Takuto's jacket has served as her blanket, but he's nowhere to be found. She then hears a hauntingly distant rendition of "Myself." Following the singing to the beach shore, she finds...
A clip from episode 6. Ahiru has been asked to dance, much to her (and Neko-Sensei's) surprise, for Paulamoni-san. "I feel the same..." :) So her natural choice for partner will be Mytho this around, right? Right? Eh! It's not??
A clip from episode 9. After a little chat with Ahiru, Rue thinks about their "friendship," something kind of new to her. Interestingly, the conversation between Neko-Sensei and the goat ties indirectly to both Rue and Fakir, who pass by the cafe independently.
This clip is taken from episode 13. This is the conclusion of the first main arc of Princess Tutu. Claire has done a pas de deux with Mytho. This leaves Princess Tutu to perform a pas de deux with... who? Ahiru is such a strong duck :)
A clip from episode 18. Episode 17 was deliberately skipped. It's Tutu versus a maniacal sword-wielding knight bent on whopping her, but good. Will she prevail? And even if she does, will she come out unscathed?
Catch You Catch Me
Taken from episode 15. Contains spoilers. Full Moon's got herself into an awkward position: on a boat, alone with a devious, lecherous character named Murakami who has a hidden agenda. How on earth can this awful dilemma be turned into a cutesy situation?
Taken from episode 52. Huge Spoilers. The conclusion sequence of the series. Nice touch how New Future (in episode #1, remember?) makes a return here, and the meanings of the songs in both episodes allude to entirely different situations in Mitsuki's life :)
This clip contains (IMO) the most humorous parts of the "Last Clear Chance" short. Quick background: This is a safety film warning about the dangers of reckless driving. The main issue discussed before we get to the clip (as we see here) is the infamous car vs. train. Will out participants be smart enough to avoid embroiling themselves in such a situation? "Can you identify this bucket full of your brother?"
This is a requested clip, from episode 5, "On the eve of the Fire Festival." Rue should be practicing her dance moves with Mytho, but she hasn't shown up at the dance studio. Ahiru's nearby on janitorial duty, and Mytho pulls her in for a brief dance. Her mop bucket (ugh) comes in handy at the end of the clip, though.
