A mockumentary about A New Orleans resident Patrick Thompson who spontaneously combusts after drinking a fruit punch. In New Orleans nothing is as it appears.
My writing partner C.L. Taylor and I have created a 24 episode web-series called REFUGEES. THE PREMISE IS TWO GUYS LEAVE NEW ORLEANS DAYS BEFORE HURRICANE KATRINA. THEY HAVE NO IDEA A STORM IS COMING, (THEY ARE LEAVING FOR DUBIOUS REASONS). ONCE THEY FIND OUT ABOUT THE STORM, THEY DECIDE TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE KATRINA SYMPATHY AND RIDE IT ALL THE WAY TO HOLLYWOOD TRYING TO SELL THEIR SCREENPLAY “IN THAT WATER”. THESE TWO FISH OUT OF WATER HAVE A THING OR TWO TO TEACH THE SHARKS OF HOLLYWOOD. It's been called a cross between Borat and Curb Your Enthusiasm. Each episode runs about three minutes long and has a continuous narrative structure. you can see all episodes at refugeefilms.tv
