This is the 4th part of the KWSDs story line. If you haven’t been in on the earlier issues, don’t worry about it. I wasn’t either and it wasn’t hard at all to jump in. Basically Superman and Batman have been scouring the earth searching for the last bits of Kryptonite to destroy and make the earth safe for our favorite Boy Scout. I know that sounds kind of funny doesn’t it, safe for superman. They find a huge deposit of it in an asteroid and discover that someone has been mining it. The trail leads back to a secret government base and a trained team of K powered fighters. Guess who’s behind it, that’s right our favorite meta hater, Amanda Waller. Needless to say our boy in blue is a little pissed to discover that the government he has fought so hard to protect has been stockpiling an arsenal of K weapons to take him down there is a fight and a great cliff hanger stands at the end of the book. We all remember Doomsday, the big ugly dude who killed superman, well the government has a ...

It is now done, the Decepticons have officially conquered earth and are just finishing off the humans running around hiding underground. They have destroyed all methods of transportation and rendered the military helpless. Thereâs only one thing that can save us now, the Autobots. I love it, weâve gone two issues straight with out even a peak at the autobots so you know theyâve got to be coming soon. This book is so good and even as the nostalgia is wearing off the writing is coming through and the book is still holding my interest. The part of this issue I found really interesting was the dynamic between Negatron and Starscream. Negatron definitely lets Starscream know where his place is but hints that he is disappointed Starscream isnât more. Negatron says he is living the Decepticon Ideal but is merely a step away fro ...

I've always loved the Ravager character, she's tough, a bad ass, and was a great contrast to the other members of the Teen Titans. In fact she was actually the only thing I liked about the Titan's post crisis. Like I said I thought she was a good part of the team and I was looking forward to her coming around and sticking with the team. I honestly wasn't expecting much from this title but it looks like it will be pretty good. There’s plenty of action and as I said I like Ravager. I really want her to be one of the good guys and it speaks to the quality of the writing that I was actually disappointed and felt bad for her when she started taking the adrenaline and it was obvious that she was giving the Clock King power over her and I want to see her break free from that. The bottom line is they’ve got me interested ...
DC Comics Presents: Countdown Check Out More @ www.shazap.com
Wow, was this a great book. The book starts out normal enough as Bruce Wayne entertains his new flame and like all women who have gotten close enough to Bruce to see realize that she will never get any closer is in the process of ending things saying that there is something deeper and darker to Bruce than he will let on when a super ninja guy attempts to kidnap her. While this is going on Robin is sharing with Nightwing his fears that Batman seams to be slipping. Bruce lures the ninja guy into the kitchen and delivers a beat down that is harsh even by batman standards. There is something different about Bruce here, he is darker and doesn’t try at all to disguise himself or keep up the billionaire playboy thing at all and Jezebel sees it all. Just as nightwing and robin show up Jezebel puts it all together and figures out that Bruce Wayne is Batman. Thee issues to follow will be the 6 part Batman: RIP series that we’ve been seeing adds for the last few months. It is looking to be really ...
shazap.com Wow this movie was great! Even thought I am not a big Iron Man Fan this is definitely one of my favorite super hero movies. It had action, humor, and excitement wrapped into what was definitely the best written film of the genre that I’ve seen. There was the perfect blend of origin and action and the dialog really keeps the pace of the movie going. Guys you can even take your girlfriends to this one without having to promise to see Sex and the City later on. The effects are near seamless and the suit is just kick ass. It delivered in the box office too exceeding expectations and coming in as the second biggest non sequel opening behind the first Spider-Man. This is a great way to start off the summer of super heroes and sets the bar really high. Go see this it’s a movie you’ll want to catch a couple times before it leaves the theaters and when you do, stick around for the closing credits you won’t be disappointed.
shazap.com This is the first book of the highly anticipated, at least by me anyway, batman story arch Batman RIP. This book definatley lived up to all the hype. It was dark, creepy, mysterious and everything a good bat book needs to be. The mystery is provided by the appearance of a new set of villains calling themselves the black glove. The seeds of doubt have been planted in Robins mind after seeing all that Bruce has bone through recently and is still dealing with the fact that Damien is his brother. The book wraps up with a seriously creepy joker and lucky for us he’s been invited to the “Danse Macabre” Batman’s Dance of Death. I can’t wait to see where this story is going to go as it winds through all of the bat family titles in Batman 676-681, Detective 846-850, Nightwing #147-150, Robin #175-176, and Batman and the Outsiders #11-13. Get geared up for a powerful series with a heavy impact on the Batman’s life.

What a great book and a great team. Jeph Loeb knows how to write fun interesting action books with just enough story to keep you interested. Ed McGuiness of the ultimates is amazing. His larger than life style plays really well to the larger than life characters in the hulk. For those of you who don’t know the big mystery in this book is who is this new red hulk. So far we know it’s not Banner, he likes to beat people up, he hates everything hulk, friends and allies included, and he likes to use guns. The subtle clue in this issue comes when the red hulk steps in front of the guard station at the entrance to the gamma base. A retinal scan is performed and the scanner says that the subject’s ID is confirmed as… and the hulk smashes the station. So we know the red hulk is someone who is recognized at the gamma base, but did he smash it to hide his identity or just because he was angry and it was there? We’ll have to keep reading to find out. The real fun starts when Banner’s cell is ...
shazap.com The second installment of this manga style batman tale which brings us some of the dark night’s origin and how it catches up to him in the future. Yoshinori’s manga style of art brings a great fluidity to the action and his writing captures the dark side of Gotham’s protector perfectly. In the past Bruce Wayne’s determination to become stronger brought about a dark spirit that seeks power and while he was able to avoid it taking him in the past by leaving it ahs returned as his sensei said it might. The action really gets ramped up in this issue and promises more to come.

The Prophet: Daniel Corey & Anthony Diecidue Interview [Part 3]
Devin Interviews The Creative Team For The Comic "The Prophet": Daniel Corey & Anthony Diecidue Right Here On Shazap.com [Part 3]
Welcome back zappers, Im Devin Curry with http://Shazap.com. Your online video source for comic book news and reviews. Follow me on Twitter at http://twitter.com/devincurry. OK so now it makes a bit more sense seeing as how the characters are from the future and the Hulk like guy is our Hulk’s son. This I guess makes sense but it sets up that tough situation that I hate where you have heroes trying to save their own people but at our cost. I mean you sympathize with these new heroes and believe me our heroes have done the same thing in the past to other people. I don’t know. Let me know what you think about it. Are these future defenders warranted in what they’re doing or have they crossed the lines to villains. Here’s one thing I don’t get though. So Valeria and Franklin’s nanny is actually the future invisible woman, but these people came back from over 250 years in the future. That would make her almost 300 years old and Hulk is Banner’s son. 250 ...

I wasn’t real happy with how the last story ended but it did set up this issue which I enjoyed immensely. This story is getting into the heads of its heroes and villains. It follows the psychosis of two face in what has got to be one of the most heated battles between Two Face and Harvey dent that we have ever witnessed. Harvey is not only blaming Two Face for killing Carol, himself for failing her and Nightwing for not being able to stop Two Face. What is most interesting is what is going on with Nightwing. Dick blames himself for the death of Carol, and is set on bringing Two face to justice. Add on top of that the history of Two Face nearly beating him to death with a baseball bat when he was Robin, and more recently Harvey’s betrayal after the one year later when he went back to Two Face. When Barbara comes ...

Spiderman is back to where he should be. Don’t get me wrong, I’m still not completely OK with the Brand New day and the effects that it had on Spidey’s powers and life, but the book is at least fun and exciting and a Spidey book again. Hammer Head is just scary good and I love what they’ve done with the character. We’ve got another new writer in Joe Kelly, and while his books lack some of the humor that the previous books have had it is still true to the character and an enjoyable read. Looking back on this thrice monthly spidey I’ve had a few thoughts. First off, we’re not really getting more Spidey than we used to, it just happens to be telling the same story. I mean there have always been multiple Spiderman titles and we would generally end up getting them three times a month. ...
This is a great follow up to the first issue. It gives us a little more information about the crime that took place off panel that this story is centered around. The great thing about this book is that unlike so many others the crime, the action, the incident itself is not the heart of the story it's the characters. The crime is just a vehicle for the author to deliver these deep and complex characters and show us how their lives intertwine. I've spoken before about how well Ed Brubaker writes the humanity of super heroes, and now his characters are regular people. They've all got issues and have been through one thing or another that effects how they think and react. They make decisions and then have to deal with the consequences. Now they are in this moment and dealing with what has been done. Getting to see the crime from different perspectives is great too. It adds layers to the action and builds anticipation as to how they will all come together in the end. This book is an example of ...
shazap.com I picked the first issue of this book up a while back and it has been so long I figured I had missed it but then here it was waiting for me this week. While this is on the indi label Avatar, it is hardly a small time book being written by Warren Ellis but it does still have that indi feel with new characters a new world and a unique story. I love this book. It has such a different story with a world that is put together so well and great characters to go along with awesome art work. Get in on this book if you missed the first on it shouldnât be too hard to find and you have your choice of four different covers. Iâve chosen the painted variant but the wrap around is pretty cool too. This is my favorite new series and you should definitely check it out.
