Murali made it five for the innings, for merely the 54th time in his career, as Andre Nel played back to a viciously turning offbreak and lost his off stump as the ball ripped through the gap between bat and pad. Boje had a big job on his hands, shielding the last two batsmen, but then neither Dale Steyn nor Makhaya Ntini had the skills needed to counter the ever-present danger of Muralitharan. Steyn jumped down the track to Murali, was beaten all ends up as the ball turned in enough to clip the leg stump. That wicket made it ten in the match for Murali.

Sanath Jayasuriya 115 Vs West Indies | World Cup 2007 | Super8
37 year old Jayasuriya still keeps going! Immaculate destruction, The manner which Sanath keeps hitting the gaps is remarkable, shows how much thought is involved in his batting.
Still just 27, he was a surprise selection for the New Zealand tour and was handed his maiden cap in the first Test at Christchurch. It was an inauspicious start as he bagged a pair and Sri Lanka lost by five wickets. Sri Lanka's team management, however, kept faith for the second Test in Wellington and he rewarded them handsomely, scoring 61 in the first innings and a magnificent unbeaten 152 in the second.

Australia v South Africa at Basseterre - Mar 24|World Cup 2007
The first-round match between South Africa and Australia threatened to be a repeat of the epic at the Wanderers, but St Kitts' Warner Park is no Wanderers, and history steadfastly refused to repeat itself. Australia comfortably defended their 377 for 6, which was set up by Matthew Hayden's fastest World Cup century, and South Africa finished 83 runs adrift.

What was Rudi Koertzen thinking? | World Cup 2007 | 1ST SEMI Final
Rudi Koertzen gave two official warnings to Dilhara Fernando for running on the wicket in his first over! What was Rudi thinking? It's normal in cricket for the umpire to be courteous enough to warn the player un officially prior to warnign them the first time. Poor Dilhara Fernando knew that one more warning and that was the end of his bowling spell, this in turn totally demoralized Fernando and broke him down. Would Rudi have pulled a stunt like this in a World Cup Semi if the bowler was Australian? Ponting would have exploded all over him.
Quick fire knock by Maharoof.

I love watching the underdog win. As i write this Ireland battles on in their batting innings, regardless of the outcome the Bangladesh Vs India Match and the Ireland Vs Pakistan match, what matters most is what these two teams have brought into cricket. The irish supporters were in full force in the carribean for a match played on St. Patrick's day. This video highlights Irelands performance as well as their supporters!
Dilhara Fernando runs into bowl the final over, england require 12 to win | World Cup 2007 Super 8 | Game 9
Some of the breathtaking batting records are with this Master Blaster from Matara. He holds the record for the fastest fifty in One Day Internationals, a pulverizing half century coming in just 16 balls off a Pakistani attack at Padang, Singapore. He also held the record for the fastest hundred in ODIs which was broken by another bludgeoning batsman Shahid Afridi. Jayasuriya also holds the records for the most number of sixes in ODI cricket and the Fastest 50 in 20 Twenty cricket.
