Ophir Yarden earned his M.A. in Middle East Studies and has pursued advanced Jewish studies at the Shalom Hartman Institute and the Schechter Institute of Judaic Studies, both in Jerusalem. Ophir teaches Jewish Studies at several Jerusalem Institutions and lectures regularly at Christian Seminaries. He is an activist in Arab-Jewish dialogue groups and in the Israeli peace movement. Ophir serves as ICCI's Director of Educational Initiatives and heads the Centre for Interreligious Encounter with Israel.
After the first edition that saw the participation of over 100,000 teenagers in 340 cities of 89 nations, teenagers of many cultures, races and religions ran united once again in prominent and significant locations around the planet in order to symbolically extend a rainbow of fraternity over the world.
