With development engineer Jim Mero behind the wheel, the ZR1 paced the Nürburgring in a time of 7:26.4. The engine rpm and the vehicle speed are the actual data taken during this lap. The elapsed time was measured electronically and confirmed with two hand-held stopwatches. The video is continuous and unedited. Watch and listen as the ZR1 tackles the twists and turns of "the Ring" and sets one of the fastest times ever clocked for a production car.
The 17 teams in the Challenge X competition are ready to put their vehicles on the road.
