  • I've always wanted to play this. Bounty Hunter was written for full orchestra; about 58 instruments. Due to circumstances beyond my control, I was about 57 pieces short and had to compress Tallarico's beautiful composition into a piano solo. This is an arrangement by ear. I do not have sheet music, but official arrangements are on sale. Buy them, they are excellent. http://www.sheetmusicplus.com http://www.flmusicservice.com "Bounty Hunter" © Tommy Tallarico Advent Rising © Donald Mustard, Orson Scott Card, Cameron Dayton, GlyphX Games, Majesco GermanSeabass http://sebastianwolff.info

  • My first run at composing. This was done for a friend and his project for a game design class. I really wanted a SNES feel to it; nothing too advanced (despite remixing the published version with Reason to give it a better feel). It was a really fun project and I hope I can compose more game music in the future. Again, this is my first try at composing, so any critique is encouraged. Track list: 1. Title Theme 2. Windy Peaks 3. Woodlands 4. Downtown Barricade 5. Frostbite 6. Illusion 7. Ending / Credits Download mp3 / midi here: http://ozzie.sebastianwolff.info My deepest thanks to Claude Debussy who helped me compose Frostbite. I'm really not a fan of his work, but his piece "The Snow is Dancing" (No. 4 from Children's Corner) helped set the desolate and completely surreal feel of it. Everything © Sebastian Wolff. Feel free to use my work, but give credit where credit is due, and let me know about if and when you use it. Enjoy, Sebastian http://sebastianwolff.info

And yes, of course I'm studying for all my finals and not playing piano instead. • This is my third (recorded) improv session, since it's been a while since the last one. Once again, I'm not too happy with the outcome; too muddy in many regards, slurred chords, odd harmonics, but generally decent and good enough for youtube. I listened to Tim Burton and his wondrous music before (Nightmare Before Christmas), so that perhaps gave me some inspiration towards abstract notes and chords. © Me! • Another improvisation, after listening endlessly to Final Fantasy songs. This one has slightly less oomph than the last one, but I still like it since it's cleaner. I brought back the melody from previous songs and the motif from Fire and Ice (a student film for which I composed the soundtrack). I really like how this one came out. For once I'm happy with the direction in which my musicianship is heading. I finally decided to title my improvisations, starting with this one. "Quest for the Truth" somehow fit. I have no idea how to explain, it just fit. Enjoy, GermanSeabass http://sebastianwolff.info

  • Tommy- thank you. I saw Video Games Live (VGL) a week ago and met Tommy Tallarico, creator of VGL, alongside Jason Hayes, Martin Leung, Michael Gluck, and many other amazing and talented people. This inspired me to finish up a project I started a few weeks ago: arranging "Stolen Transport" from Advent Rising for piano solo. It looks like a pain for the fingers, and ... it is. After all, I had to compress 58 instruments and a 60-member choir into two hands. But it's a fun piece... enjoy! "Bounty Hunter" © Tommy Tallarico Advent Rising © Donald Mustard, Orson Scott Card, Cameron Dayton, GlyphX Games, Majesco... Since only Bounty Hunter is available for purchase, I took the liberty of arranging this fun song myself. Download it here: http://music.sebastianwolff.info/#gamesheets Enjoy! • And now for something completely different. As much I've always enjoyed jazz, I never got around to learning any. Besides plowing through books and tutorials about jazz theory, tritone blues, boogie woogie basses, and the various scale degrees and their functions (dorian, phrygian, mixolydian, etc)... I just never got a taste. After re-watching The Legend of 1900 (an AMAZING MOVIE, btw), I sat down and played a bit. Here's the collection of mashed chords and notes, endearingly entitled "Faux Jazz." I'll let you figure out the "faux" part... I recorded this about a month ago - again, no video. I only had a microphone on me, and I'm still trying to find a video camera for recording. Piano doodle thing (cc) imoenk on DA: http://imoenk.deviantart.com/art/Piano-76359057 NO sheet music! • I was never really happy with how it sounded and I stored it away. Somehow it got lost on my computer. But! I found it, so here it is. I don't like the way that the entire song is basically just chords, either broken up or not. I need to work on better melodies, themes and motifs... I recorded this in March- which means: my piano was still out of tune. All negative comments are to be blamed on the crappy microphone and the equally crappy camera.

  • Piano version of "J-E-N-O-V-A" from Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children (which is, coincidentally, the same as the piano version from the Final Fantasy VII Piano Collections). Why the "Beta?" Well, uh, I went waay too fast, practically racing through it- hence slaughtering Uematsu's wonderful piece. I'll upload a fixed version later. Much later - once our heater starts working again and I don't have to pound on the keys with frozen fingers. (c) Squeeeenix and Uematsu. No Sheet Music Requests (please) - this song is available in stores and online... just Google for it. GermanSeabass http://sebastianwolff.info

  • After playing this song for over a year, I feel "Tatakau Monotachi" from Final Fantasy VII is finally in a condition worthy of sharing. My right hand is in pain right now, but that doesn't matter... does it? Most likely the hardest piece from the Final Fantasy series I've played so far - although J-E-N-O-V-A comes quite close. Yes, I killed the slurs and trills in the right hand. Yes, I over-pedalled (again!) Yes, my piano is (painfully) out of tune. No, I will not give you the sheet music. Use Google. • My camera is still broken! Hence, sound only. Ranking currently as number two in a list of pieces composed by Kyle (topped only by "Lonely"), this piece is still wonderful and teaches you a few fine things about composition too! This is an improvisation on the melody and feel of the original recording. In my opinion, the *feel* of a piece is more important than the notes. It's not perfect, neither in regards to correct notes, nor in how closely it matches the original composition. I do not have sheet music. What I had in front of me were the lyrics, courtesy of was Leela McMullen (KrystalEpyon).
