Scott runs through over a dozen online video sharing web sites with a focus on the Azureus Project Zudeo site and their High Definition video content. He gets a laugh out of the clever Fast Love interview with drive up window fast food attendants, and checks out Al Frankenâs announcement to run for Senator of Minnesota. Hank returns with his â24â³ parody, this time trying to solve global warming.
Irish eyes are smiling as Katie returns to Tubular TV with a look at mash-ups. Digital media is practically a natural resource to be remodeled like clay. We look at TV advertisement mash-ups by Jonathan McIntosh, the ambitious stop frame animated FAST FILM by Virgil Widrich and the surrealistic work of ProjectkTV. Katie puts our green screen to the test by wearing a green T-shirt, and fortunately it did not become a see-through top. We also take a brief look at incredible new 3D dynamics simulation software from Autodeskâs Maya Nucleus project.

People were organizing for numerous causes, and one brave man carries a sign, and makes his bold protest against the slanders made on millions of galaxies. California State Assemblyman Mark Leno presents Boots Hughston coordinator of Summer of Love 40th Anniversary with a Proclamation recognizing the spiritual awakening in Golden Gate Park, and introduces one of the members of The Doors, Ray Manzarek who did a short set with poet Michael McClure, Rob Wasserman (bass) and Jay Lane (drums). Lester Chambers, former lead singer and front man of the group The Chambers Brothers, and his band perform "People Get Ready" and "Time Has Come Today" in one of the high points of the day. "Time..." reverberates with the line, "My soul's been psychedelisized," and this video adds a heavy dose of mind melting effects. As the high spirits gather, even Jimi Hendrix seems to appear in the concert crowd.
This week we ramp things up with Scott who vents about cell phone usage, pointing out how online video provides power to the people with the help of Bill Moyer's speech at the 2007 National Conference for Media Reform. We introduce our innovative new multi-guest character, "Stickhead" who appears as President Bush, Barack Obama and a surprise guest who screams about popcorn.
Hank has Joel Eisenberg stop by to show and tell us about vintage Grateful Dead, The Who, The Clash and other concert photos he shot in and around San Francisco. We show part of what's in Joel’s Vault which Hank has been digitizing and putting on the Media Spin web site on the Rock Pix pages.
