During November 1976, I was featured on the second to last episode of WMAQ-TV 'Magazine Show' Sorting It Out hosted by Bob Smith & Shelley Long on NBC 5 Chicago. During the first vignette Bob Smith reads the letter I wrote to him at the station while they broadcast the film of me sailing my skateboard up and down the bike path at Montrose Harbor. I recorded the show off the air using my father’s Sony Betamax VCR. Doing the filming and working with the cameraman and crew was a great experience and sparked and sparked a lifelong interest interest in media.
Conclusion of my epic tour of the Los Angeles River and San Gabriel River bike trails.
