Celebrated on the day before the Solemnity of Corpus Christi, this is the first time the Bishop has ordained candidates to the priesthood in the Diocese of Paterson. Continuing our coverage of diocesan events throughout the area, the CCMCommunications Remote Television Operations Center and Crew made a trip to the Cathedral of Saint John the Baptist in Paterson, NJ to cover the 11th annual Cathedral Concert Series. This years event featured Patricia Dean, Eleanor Antonelli, Carol Dziuba, Richard Hilton, Robert Long and the Ars Musica Chorale , Dr. Michele Yampolsky and the Villa Walsh Academy Ensemble along with special guest artists.

The Chrism Mass, held in the Diocese's Cathedral of Saint John the Baptist in Paterson NJ, is celebrated by Bishop Arthur J. Serratelli on the morning of Holy Thursday. In this mass, the Bishop blesses and consecrates the three oils - the Oil of the Sick, the Oil of Catechumens, and the Sacred Chrism - for distribution to parishes throughout the Church of Paterson. Also celebrating the institution of the Eucharist and of the Priesthood, the Diocesan Presbyteriate meets to renew their priestly promises.

A huge initiative of the Diocese of Paterson and the Global Church as a whole in 2006 is a push for vocations. As part of the Diocesan Vocations Strategic Plan, CCMCommunications produced an 8 minute video that outlines the five points of 'Stirring into Flame'. Narrated by Bishop Serratelli, the video features a number of religious communities from within the Church of Paterson.
