Dateline: Springfield, IL Finally. The morning of Barack's big announcement. It took me all night to assemble the perfect outfit. He can't help but notice Citizen Kate in my Juicy shoes and skirt. Note to self: Politics can be cold. And Juicy Couture doesn't cut it in ten below zero.
Hey everybody, where's the par-tay?
I'm no longer a virgin! Voter that is. The first time, ever I cast a vote, a vote, a vote. This is part of a trilogy of crazy times in Chicago's super tuesday. Peace and Hugs Kate
Citizen Kate finally feels like a Hollywood Starlet at the Democratic Debates. I can't believe I scored one of the hottest tickets in LA, the CNN/Politico.com/Los Angeles Times Democratic Debate at the Kodak Theatre. I know, that's where the Oscars are. It's almost as if I finally made it. I couldn't wait to meet Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton. Then, I discovered that there's more to life than politics. There's fame. Hollywood was fantastic. Even if the people looked dirty. Seriously, Elvis said he hadn't changed his outfit in 20 years. I spread peace and hugs to Sponge Bob Square Pants and Spiderman, but I don't think that either of them showered in days. Sponge Bob left a stain on my right boob with his dirty nose. You can see it in my latest vblog. Check out it out!

Citizen Kate BITES the Political Sausage
Most people don't know what goes into their sausage - encased meat or political. I bit in to find out more.
Citizen Kate finds out how a political campaign competes with all that Vegas has to offer.
Kate finds out from out of this world experts how to caucus, Vegas style.
Citizen Kate begs, borrows and steals day passes to Invesco Park the day of Barack’s big acceptance speech at the Democratic National Convention, and she has a dream to meet Obama. I did it. I got big media passes to Invesco park. Finally, I’ve made it. Okay. So it’s just for the afternoon, but I’m sure that I’m going to meet Barack Obama. I was empowered by my yoga sharma in the Huffington Oasis of The Big Tent to attract what I need to actually make this happen. She told me breath and envision it. I can see it now. Obama and me talking. I hung out at the tunnel where he’s sure to enter. I found Tom Brokaw, Al Gore, and descendants of Martin Luther King. If only they’ll tell me where I can find Obama... Note to self: You can have a dream in politics, but without the support of others, it will go nowhere.
Citizen Kate finds herself on the inside circle with friends and family of John McCain, "The Maverick", at the Republican National Convention. I had an amazing time at the RNC. I never realized how welcoming Republicans are until I met Ladies for McCain, Sambhu Banik, and Sid Rosen. Sid has known McCain forever. He really taught me about McCain's commitment to the people, his country and values. Sid really inspired me. I got amazing treatment with seats to McCain's nomination acceptance speech and an invite to the after party. That day, I learned what makes McCain the Maverick. As well as why he's so popular with the ladies and America. He's willing to go against the party, and stand strong for the people. McCain has a track record of standing his ground, being tough, and fighting for what's right. I wonder what his next Maverick move will be? Note to self: Republicans have big balls.
Senator Gravel really gave us a day to remember...
Citizen Kate scores at the Barack Obama Super Tuesday Victory Rally in Chicago when she catches up with Reverend Jesse Jackson and Chicago Mayor Richard M. Daley. Finally, my Super Tuesday is starting to look up just a bit. Steve Lundin, my producer's brother, is still bugging me with his abuse, er, media training. Note to self: If you're going to a Political victory party, bring some cash for food and the bar. Seriously. They give you nothing for free. What kind of celebration is that?
Citizen Kate finally casts her vote and reveals who she voted for. The pressure and choices were almost too much. But I made it through it. I was cast my first vote for President of the United States. It was a tough choice. Barack Obama, John McCain, Ralph Nader, Cynthia McKinney, Bob Barr, Chuck Baldwin, John Polacheck, and more. Note to self: Making political decisions can be tough.
Citizen Kate enjoys Obama's presidential victory and realizes that with every victory comes a loss. I totally remember moment that Barack officially won the position as the next President of the United States of America. Emotions were high. Everyone was crying around me. Oprah was crying. And Barack spoke. There was an air of disbelief and relief in Grant Park that night. One man's victory is another man's sorrow. Note to self: Nobody really "wins" in politics cause once the votes are tallied, it's time for the real work.
NBC and MySpace are having a competition to send a Citizen Reporter to the Democratic and Republican Conventions, here's my audition tape - I hope you'll go to myspace.com/decision08 to give me a thumbs up! Help send me to the conventions.
Citizen Kate scores tickets to watch Barack speak the final night at the Democratic National Convention, and she hunts to fulfill her dream to "find Obama". I can't believe it! Thanks to my good friends at First Data, one of the sponsors of both the Democratic and Republican Conventions, I got tickets to enjoy the inside of Invesco park. I was there earlier today scouting out all the possible locations where I might run into Barack. This is it. This is the moment that I've been waiting for. I'm going to meet Barack. I can feel it. I even ran into General Wesley Clark. And he thinks that I have what it takes...some day. Note to self: If you ask and believe, you will receive. Maybe. It seems there are a lot of "secrets" in politics.

The Nader Fight for People, Peace and Freedom
Citizen Kate discovers a political party she relates to, Peace and Freedom, and that we have to fight for the people and third parties at a Ralph Nader event. I didn't get credentials for the first Presidential debate. So, I decided to hang out with Ralph Nader. I can't believe that he didn't get an invite either!?! Unfortunately, Nader didn't have time to spend one-on-one with me. But I was invited to his big University of Southern California event, and his Bill Maher after party in Hollywood. I got to meet his VP pick Matt Gonzalez, who was amazing. But that's another story. The big story? The Peace and Freedom party. I can't believe there are third parties we don't know about. Nader really brings to light some of the challenges with American politics. He makes me want to do something about it. We can't just sit around watching the Inconvenient Truth. Note to self: We should focus less on the parties and more on the candidates and taking action. Although a Peace & Hugs party would be awesome!
Citizen Kate goes to cast her first vote and finds the ballot has too many choices. This is it. I never thought this day would never come. Let's face it. Two years is a long time to wait! And then you have to make a decision. Then you realize there's more to decide on than you anticipated. Forget about the Presidential choices -- Barack Obama, John McCain, Ralph Nader, Cynthia McKinney, Bob Barr, Chuck Baldwin, and John Polacheck? Who were all those other people on the ballot? How did I miss that after two years on the campaign trail? Note to self: There is more to vote for than the President of the United States.
Who do you think is really responsible for high voter turnout? Hey, this is America after all.
Steve Lundin, my producer's brother, agreed to "help" me in my reporting skills tonight.
