The Digital Youth Network Robotics Team competes in the 2008 First Lego League regional robotics competition. Comprised of a few veteran 8th graders, but mostly first time participants, the DYN "Robo Stars" went home with the trophy for Best Research presentation. www.iRemix.org

The Foundation is committed to empowering youth in urban neighborhoods and providing life skills needed to achieve their dreams. Their support of programs like DYN exemplify this commitment. The Common Ground Foundation was created by Hip Hop artist, actor and children’s author Lonnie Rashid Lynn, known as Common.

7th grader Zekur 'remixing' movie posters, album covers and magazine covers at last years Freedom Friday Finale. He took photos of people on the spot, imported into photoshop, cut out their faces and put their faces into the mag covers and such. Excellent project to teach photoshop skills while keeping kids engaged in learning. I love the chatter in the background, really reflects the unique enviornment DYN creates: middle schoolers and high school kids talking about dv decks, wifi, etc. www.iRemix.org
