The headman's son Deresa of Kg. Regang, Pahang, Malaysia was drowned when he went fishing with 12 others and among them were our 2 co-workers (Christian Missionaries) who were there to teach the child to read and write. After more than 10 minutes the lifeless body of Deresa was retrieved from the bottom of the swollen river. Thank God that the Almighty is always present and He is all merciful. website: www.gospel2poor.org
Christmas in January for these villages were inaccessible during the month of December because of the continuous heavy rain. website: www.gospel2poor.org

On returning to Kg. Jias, the headman and his villagers (all Aborigines) found that the newly completed church was demolished by the Kelantan State authority. The whole village mourned for this great loss and great bitterness developed with calls of vengeance were expressed amongst this newly born Christians. Immediately, we held the impromptu worship service at the site of the demolished church imploring the Almighty God to comfort our brethren in grieve. We handed the whole situation into the hand of our Lord and we thank God that by the end of the service the joy and of the Lord and forgiveness filled our hearts. We prayed to God to bless those who were responsible for the destruction of this church. website: www.gospel2poor.org

The old and sick headman (an aborigine) was not surprised when none from his village followed him in becoming a Christian for they were constantly persecuted and threatened by the `abusers of authority'. God's mercy on these oppressed and poor souls comforted him for his descendents and villagers were baptized at a later date. website: www.gospel2poor.org
Reaching some of the brethren deep in the Malaysian jungle where we have to climb the mountains for hours, The rain made the paths extremely slippery and dangerous.
