London-born Sarbel provided the highlight of the entertainment during the 2008 Wine Festival, to great popular acclaim. Sarbel represented Greece for Eurovision 2007, but had never previously performed for his 'home crowd' in north London where this annual Cyprus Wine Festival takes place. See more details about Sarbel (or by doing a google-search) at: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sarbel or at his own myspace profile at: http://www.myspace.com/sarbelsmyspace (Additional video coverage of the Cyprus Wine Festival 2008 is currently being prepared for upload to this channel)

Film made by local people in King's Cross as a part of the consultation process regarding the then-newly-announced plans to redevelop the Kings Cross Railway Lands for a second Euro-tunnel rail terminal, and its likely consequences on the local community. The railway terminal has now been built and opened, but the original development of the rest of the railway lands did not take place as the developers planned. But development IS still in-process. Cyprus Tourist Board TV Advert
Having just seen the Riz Khan item which he pre-publicised with his 1 minute slot on their YouTube profile -- in an item asking whether, given all the other problems afflicting the world, the world media has "forgotten about the division of Cyprus" -- the program which Riz actually produced for 13th Nov 2007 was so one-sided it was beneath contempt. I totally lost my previous high respect for Riz Khan. Rather than treating the division of Cyprus with even a modicum of fairness he offered his media slot for blatant Turkish propaganda. Didn't know Al Jazeera does "pay per slot propaganda" items for selected causes. D I S G U S T I N G !
The Title - Lullaby Unending is taken from the words by Pushkin (one of my grandmother's favourite Russian poets), in one of the poems in the soundtrack to this video. Also included are a number of songs by Alexander Vertinski, (a favoutiyr of her youth in pre-revolutionary Russia). The family left Russia during the revolution, and never returned. Subtitle - Kalmanovitch Family Grave near the 'Dissenters Chapel' at Kensal Green Cemetery, and a walk through this famous London Victoran cemetery. The soundtrack is a compilation prepared for the burial service for my grandmother Genia who was interred with her husband many years after he had died. The video has been placed online for family viewing on the occasion of their younger son's (my uncle Eugene's) death on November 28th 2007. The burial service for my uncle is to take place at 11am on Monday 3rd December at Caen, Normandy.
Part of a cross section study of how various different media interests reported the vote by the American House of Representatives Foreign Relations Committee to designate the mass killings of Armenians in the closing days of the Ottoman Empire as - Genocide. ABC news allocated a whole of 30 seconds to the story, mostly to highlight how 'Executive Authority' in the US is resolutely opposed to the Killing of 1.5 million Armenians in the closing days of the Ottoman Empire being called the first Genocide of the 20th Century. Euro News carried the following item live on 18th February, the Press Conference following a meeting of EU Foreign Ministers who spent a day discussing how the EU should deal with Kosovo's Independence announcement the previous day. This item deserved being immortalised on VEOH for the pleasure of seeing Dimitrij Rupel (Slovenian Foreign Minister, on behalf of the rotating presidency) Javier Solana (EU High Representative on Foreign Affairs), and Olli Rehn (EU Enlargement Commissioner) being made to feel distinctly uncomfortable at the questions they were being asked by a rather hostile press corps. "Brian" - Protest still continues opposite Palace of Westminster
For five years with not a day off, Brian has continued his sit-in protest opposite the British Parliament buildings where he reminds British politicians and the world at large about the continuing killing of children in the Iraq War. The British Government changed the laws on demonstrating, but Brian is still there. His is a lone presence, but his conscience speaks for many millions worldwide, including me. Well done Al Jazeera for featuring this item, in the Witness Series, presented by Rageh Omar.
