Months ago playwright Orna Rawls asked me if I would like to direct a play for the Quickies in the Park show. She had just seen a short film I had directed, "Hold On". I was immediately interested, and excited about trying out my directing in a stage production for the first time. As my bio for the program stated, I have had years of experience in film, but none in theater, besides the lone time I acted in a play (written by Orna Rawls, and directed by J. Sibley Law) last winter. This play, I found out was entitled "Shakespeare for the Shakespeare Challenged", and was a comedy written by local playwright Jack Rushen. I cast two actors who I have known and worked with before, the brilliant David Thomas McLaine and Mike Greca. I knew they would both be hysterical, and have great chemistry on stage. And lo and behold, to no great surprise by me, they did! This was a great learning experience for me as a director, and I was absolutely pleased with their performance in front of the audience of 150 that night!! I look forward to directing a play again! "Shakespeare for the Shakespeare Challenged" Performed outdoors near the famed Shakespeare Theater in Stratford, CT, on August 28, 2009 Starring David Thomas McLaine and Mike Greca Written by Jack Rushen Directed by Joel Vetsch *Note: "Shakespeare for the Shakespeare Challenged" will be performed in September at a couple more venues in New Haven, CT - stay tuned for updates & more video*

MARTIAN CHILD's Bobby Coleman: "How Do You Cry on Film?"
Bobby Coleman grew up on film sets watching and learning from his older sister and actress Holliston Coleman, until at age six he wanted to join the "action" himself. By age 8, he had done a dozen national commercials and some guest-star roles. Then major lead roles began to be offered to Bobby in TV and film. Now at age 10, Bobby has played in leads opposite Minnie Driver, Angie Harmon, William H. Macy, Annie Potts, Michael Keaton, Carol Burnett, Amanda Peet, Joan Cusack, and John Cusack. Bobby's biggest role to date is the title lead in New Line Cinema's MARTIAN CHILD, starring opposite John Cusack as an emotionally disturbed foster child who believes he is from Mars. THIS IS AN EXCERPT FROM JOEL VETSCH'S INTERVIEW WITH BOBBY COLEMAN ON FEBRUARY 21, 2008. VISIT THE WEBSITE BELOW FOR THE FULL HALF HOUR INTERVIEW (IN TWO PARTS). youtube.com/joelslife

My 12-string guitar cover of a Radiohead/Unkle song from a few years back. It is a haunting song, but this is my own version so a couple words have been changed, and the song abbreviated.
