El Lago Chungará es parte del Parque Nacional Lauca y se encuentra a 192 kms. de Arica y 51 kms. de Putre. Cuenta con una superficie de 21.5 km2 Putre. Las aguas del lago con muy heladas, por lo que sólo se puede dar un baño rápido. Son de color turquesa y en ellas refleja el volcán Chungará. En el lugar destaca la avifauna existente, caracterizada por especies como ñandú o suri, perdiz de puna, flamenco chileno, guallata, pato yeco, tagua gigante, cóndor y pato jergón chico. Entre los mamíferos destacan guanacos, vicuñas, llamas, alpacas, tarucas, pumas, zorros y vizcachas.

Larry confesses his plight to his unbelieving father, Sir John, who then joins the villagers in a hunt for the wolf. Larry, transformed by the full moon, heads for the forest and a fateful meeting with both Sir John and Gwen.

Horario se ajusta en verano por cambio de hora oficial. OBSERVACIONES: Paso de personas y todo tipo de operaciones aduaneras.
Está ubicado a 3.025 metros de altura, a sesenta kilómetros de Santiago. Se llega por un camino pavimentado que nace en la curva 40 de la ruta a Farellones.
