John Kerry calls US troops morons a week before the US midterm elections. Smooth. (Hot Air with Michelle Malkin.)
From our trip to Eastern WA
C64 software demo from 1988. I remember using this in high school. It was very cool at the time.
Reading of poem by Charles Bukowski, one of my favorite writers.
My wife complains about the potholes on the Mountain Loop Highway just north of Barlow Pass. The road has not been maintained for some time as there is a washout about a mile past this.
Several things strike me about this commercial: were we really that dorky? (Probably.) There is exactly one black guy in the commercial, but if you close your eyes and listen ("mmm-hmmm") they are clearly trying to reach that audience. Maybe two black people on screen would have been too scary? Also, it looks like these things used about a pound of styrofoam apiece.
From the Enterprise trailer. If every episode had a scene like this, I would have kept watching it.
Audra and Jon exchange vows
Driving down into Port Jefferson on Long Island.
An 80s commercial for Honeycomb with Andre the Giant. Pretty stupid really, but you may smile when you hear the jingle.
This one walked right through our yard. I had a beautiful shot at it, and decided to use the camera. ;)
"The Other New York". :) From Lloyd Neck, on Long Island -- on what used to be the Marshall Field III estate, and is now Caumsett State Park.
Various nonsense (and a partial walkthru) from my visit to my parents house in New York.
A special on the online data services available in 1987. I remember actually using some of these. :)
The sword fight from the movie Princess Bride.
Didn't notice the lame crack message (ooh he can use a hex editor) until after I filmed this. But this is a classic game released in 1983.
From Amanda Across America. I found this link on 1938media, where Loren was slamming it, but cmon. She looks so happy! And I couldn't do that for 2 seconds without falling over.
Yeah, I know, no one cares. But this is my favorite thing about visiting New York.
Two engineers from Commodore talk about the 20th anniversary of the C128.
A TV special on whether Unix will become the next MS-DOS (!) from 1985.
