  • nuptialstv.com If you are having a wedding during a time of the year with unpredictable weather, make sure you plan ahead for the worst case scenario. Rent a tent for your wedding site if you are having an outdoor wedding, or arrange to have a backup location for the ceremony or reception at a different, indoor site. And make sure your guests are informed about the possibility of a backup site... it is appropriate, and will be appreciated, to include “in case of bad weather” information on your invitations, and some couples even include a seperate rain card enclosed in their invitation packet which gives detailed information and instructions to your wedding guests for what to do if it starts to rain or snow. And don't stress out about it... many people consider rain on a wedding day a good omen for the marriage, so just be optimistic and think of it as good luck if it happens.

  • Piano rock legend Billy Joel recently got hitched to TV host and culinary artist Katie Lee, who is 32 years younger than the mega-selling musician. Joel, who was famously married to “Uptown Girl” Christie Brinkley until the early 90s, wanted his third marriage to stick, so he went all out with a to die for ceremony. The wedding was held at Joel's 15 acre oceanside Long Island mansion, where guests were treated to an outdoor, “Italian harvest feast.” Katie Lee looked spectacular in a sleeveless Oscar De La Renta gown made from Chantilly lace that featured a scalloped hemline. After the couple exchanged vows, Katie slipped into a black Dolce and Gabanna dress with aquamarine jewels for the remainder of the evening. At the reception, guests dined on Italian style dishes and a well stocked buffet of fish, meat and cheeses, and finished their meal with slices of a rich, chocolate covered wedding cake. The couple's famous friends danced the night away and were moved by a special ...

  • Welcome brides, grooms, and future wedding guests I'm Harmonie Krieger your host for nuptialstv.com your video guide to planning your wedding and beyond. On this edition of Nuptialstv we will be covering tips on planning the big day. Planning a wedding is like setting up dominoes, each decision helps you make another one. The first domino is the question, the second domino is the type of ceremony and the third domino is choosing the venue and it continues on from there. So the question has been popped, now unto the type and location of the ceremony. Most people know the type of wedding they would like to have, but when you add another person’s dreams, aspirations and religious feelings it will require some compromise. The couple is the most important part of planning a wedding and whether it’s the parents of the bride or the groom or a wedding planner, the wishes of the couple have to be taken into account. This is especially true of the type of ceremony that the couple decides on. ...

  • nuptialstv.com The No Doubt front woman pulled up in a blue Rolls Royce an hour late to her own wedding in London's St. Paul's Convent Garden, but that didn't stop her from getting hitched to the former lead singer of 90s alt rock heroes Bush. Stefani looked classy and stunning in a custom made, pink and white Dior gown, which featured an antique lace veil, but she was almost upstaged by Rossdale's Hungarian Sheepdog, Winston, who was dressed for the occasion in a garland of red flowers as he joined the wedding party. And two weeks later, the couple did it all over again in LA for a vow renewal ceremony that their Hollywood based friends like Brad Pitt, Jennifer Aniston, and Ben Stiller, could attend. So let that be a lesson to you. If Brad Pitt can't make your wedding, just throw a second ceremony. He'll really appreciate it.

  • nuptialstv.com Sometimes you and a friend might be planning your wedding at the same time and have a similar guest list that might create a bit of a competitive situation... so what do you do you are both giving the same wedding favors? Well, you have a few options. If you really feel like it will be tacky to give the same favors as your friend, then just pick something else. But if the favors you chose for your guests are meaningful to you, you can still try and talk to your friend and see if they will relent on the issue. And if your friend won't give in, just say screw it. Give the same favors as your friend, and be done with it. Your friends really won't care that much if they end up with two silver picture frames from two different weddings... they just want to see that you have a happy day.

  • Hey everyone. I'm Izabella Wentz, a newly wed for nuptialstv.com Here to share my wedding story. In this segment I am going to tell you about my rehearsal dinner. We had a beach BBQ for our rehearsal sinner. Since we were doing a destination wedding, everyone was invited. The atmosphere was very fun and relaxed. We had a lot of food, booze, and live performers dancing and playing with fire. A lot of our guests participated in a limbo competition. Towards the end of the rehearsal, we gave gifts to our wedding party and parents. Michael got his groomsmen flasks, cigar cutters, nice cigars and whisky. I got my girls pink flasks with their initials; Swarovsky Crystal studded business card holders, and silver jewelry to wear for the wedding. I'm Izabella Wentz congratulations to the grooms and best wishes to all you future brides.

  • nuptialstv.com Before Christina Aguilera met Jordan Bratman, she was a very dirrrrty girl... until the music producer popped the question and made her an honest woman. During the traditional Jewish ceremony, chosen because of Aguilera's new hubby's faith, the singer wore a form fitting Christian Lacroix dress with a large ruffled train as the couple read hand written vows to eachother. After the ceremony, guests were treated to an indoor winter wonderland, designed to give the feeling of X-Tina's favorite month, December. Guests like Sharon Stone were treated to a menu filled with the couple's favorite comfort foods, including roat chicken, short ribs, mac and cheese, and onion rings. After eating, Christian slipped into a white minidress and belted out a couple songs, including the Etta James classic “At Last,” which she dedicated to her new husband. Maybe Christina will sing at your wedding... just tell her you have onion rings and Mac and Cheese on your menu, and she might just show up.

  • Welcome brides, grooms, and future wedding guests I'm Harmonie Krieger your host for nuptialstv.com your video guide to planning your wedding and beyond. On this edition of Nuptialstv we will be covering Wedding Cake Etiquette. Here are the guidelines to the handling, cutting, and serving of wedding cakes. This is hardly surprising because just about everything in a traditional wedding is governed by etiquette and tradition. Many couples, no matter how formal or informal the wedding is, try to observe wedding cake guidelines. Protocol for wedding cakes includes the following: * The cake should always be displayed at the reception on a beautifully decorated table. It should be in front of the bride’s table and set so that while it’s is on display it does not block a view of the head table. An ornamental knife should be placed on the table. * Protocol demands that the cake must be cut at the right time in the reception. For informal ceremonies and receptions this means serving it ...

  • Hey everyone, My name is Izabella Wentz, a newly wed for nuptialstv.com here to share my wedding story. I am going to talk about how I was proposed to. Michael and I had been dating long distance for a while and he decided to move from NY to Chicago to live with me. One Sunday, Michael arranged for us to take a catamaran trip to a small island. We sailed in the wind listening to the Eagles, and I just remember thinking that it was the best day of my life. We stopped to go snorkeling on the way. After a few hours we sat down to have a small lunch. Michael started to video taping me, then one of our crew members came up and took the camera. Michael grabbed my hand and took me to the beach, where I noticed that red rose petals were spread out. He turned towards me, got down on one knee, and asked me to be his wife. I said of course! I was on cloud nine, and so elated, that I didn't look at the ring until we walked back to the table to get our stuff! We sailed back and popped open a bottle of Dom ...

  • Welcome brides, grooms, and future wedding guests I'm Harmonie Krieger your host for nuptialstv.com your video guide to planning your wedding and beyond. On this edition of Nuptialstv we will be covering out of town wedding guest tips and tricks. When out of town wedding guests are incurring the expense of long distance travel, make their arrival special. Prior to the date, send a newsletter packed with local information such as attractions, bars and restaurants near in the area. Assign local relatives for airport pick ups and to the reception. Garner a "block booking" rate from a hotel close to your wedding venues. When guests arrive it’s also a nice touch to create a gift bg or basket filled with snacks, and treats. This will make them feel more welcome and make their stay a little easier. Thanks for watching nuptialstv.com, I’m your host Harmonie Krieger offering Congratulations for the Groom and Best Wishes to the Bride!

  • nuptialstv.com Traditionally, it’s considered a faux pas for the bride’s mother, sister, or relative to throw the bridal shower, because it seems like they are soliciting gifts for their family member. But times have changed, and with increasing frequency, moms and sisters are getting involved in throwing bridal showers. When the maid of honor isn’t from the city that the wedding is taking place in, it only makes sense for a relative from the city to take over hosting duties if they have “home field advantage.” And besides, why is it more appropriate for a friend to solicit gifts for the bride than her mother or sister? Because the shower is about gifts anyway you cut it, so the relative rule is kind of dated anyway. So if you have a mother, sister, or other close relative who is enthusiastic about throwing or hosting your bridal shower, by all means, let them do it. You don’t have to stick to any outdated rules, right?
