Moe reads in the newspaper that Curly is the missing heir to his rich uncle Bob O. Link's estate. The Stooges go to the mansion, only to find out that Prof. Bob O. Link didn't die, he was murdered! And both his body and the will are missing. The boys have to spend the night in the spooky old house and solve the mystery. 1945
The Stooges are exterminators who have no luck getting a decent job. They decide to fill a high society mansion with moths, mice and ants, so they can be hired. Sure enough, they arrive at the now-infested house to kill the pests. After some mishaps, a pie fight is started and ends with the Stooges knocked out by the lady of the house. 1951
The Stooges are actors in Mexico who have just been fired, leaving them stranded. Their friend Greta helps them out by getting them a job, but when Joe kisses her, her husband comes along and vows to kill all three if he sees them again. Unfortunately, he sees them when they do their comedy bullfight act, so he lets a real bull into the ring, and Joe is really in for it now! 1959
Shemp and Daphne Pollard are a struggling husband and wife vaudeville team who are trying to sell their tired Civil-War Era skit to a Broadway producer. A lot of funny bits starting right off at the beginning with Shemp "shaving" himself in a scene repeated later in the Stooges short "Brideless Groom" -- only here it is much longer and more painful to watch, though still funny. Shemp and Daphne try to hide their cooking from their landlord, then it's down to see the producer, where they pester him into using their act on the stage. 1934
Moe, Larry and Shemp are three bumbling interior decorators who manage to trash their clients' homes. Filmed before a live studio audience, as a pilot for a planned TV series on ABC, which unfortunately, was never picked up. Joseph Kearns (the original Mr. Wilson on TV's DENNIS THE MENACE 1959 - 1962) appears as the pressure-cooker salesman from Punxatawney, Pennsylvania. 1949
The stooges need to pay the rent so they decide to pay off the rent by becoming baby sitters. Their first job is to baby sit for a troubled mother who just broke up with her husband. After some of their antics, they fall asleep. The mother comes home and sees that the baby is gone and sends the boys to her husband's apartment. After the stooges have a little trouble with the ex-husband, the mother arrives and the couple are reunited. 1951
The boys are stowaways on a train box-car filled with furniture bound for the "Hollywood Storage Co.," and they hope to break into movies together and become stars. They arrive at the Carnation Pictures Studios. Fuller Rath, the studio general manager, previously received a telegram from the Home Office telling him that a certain "Mr. Smith and his two assistants" will arrive to take over the supervision of the studios. He mistakes the Stooges as the executives and gives them free reign over the studios, where they proceed to disrupt and destroy the production of a romantic drama. Meanwhile, Fuller Rath receives a second telegram stating the executives won't arrive until later, at which he sends the studio guards after the Stooges, who beat a hasty retreat. 1936
After serving in the Army, the stooges decide to go to college and major in criminology. Graduating with the lowest possible honors, they receive their first case, stop a bandit called the Eel who is going to rob the Biltless Hotel. They go to the hotel but they fail to catch the criminal or retrieve the money he stole. As a result they are booted off the force and become ditch diggers. 1955
Larry and Shemp live in a stolen train car. Larry wants to marry his girlfriend but she won't marry him until Shemp marries her older sister. Shemp is constantly drunk and in love with an imaginary canary named Carrie. Moe is an inspector and he finds where the train is. Moe is in love with the older sister, so some competition goes on between Shemp and Moe. In the end both girls want to marry Shemp, but Shemp prefers his imaginary canary. 1952
The Stooges are detectives and take a case to find a man's missing daughter. They dress as pie salesmen and investigate the area around where she was first missing. Discovering a spooky old house, they are locked in and come across a mad scientist, his hatchetman, and a gorilla. They eventually rescue the girl, with the help of the gorilla. 1953
The Stooges are out-of-work vagrants trying to get jobs by each grabbing a broom and sweeping up. But, the store owner thinks they're stealing and yells for the police. The boys get away by ducking into an art school. Once there, they are mistaken for new art students and proceed to wreak havoc, as usual, culminating in a great wet clay fight. 1935
Moe, Larry, and Shemp are beginner plumbers answering a call from Mr. Norfleet at his mansion, whose wife has dropped a diamond ring in the bathroom drain. Moe and Larry find the ring, but apparently drop it once more down the drain. So the Stooges must search for it throughout the household plumbing, inadvertantly crossing the electrical and plumbing pipes in the process. Meanwhile, two guests at the Norfleets' party are planning to steal a valuable painting. They cut the painting out of the frame when no one is watching. Moe and Larry discover that after all their searching, the ring was caught in Larry's hair all the time! After their success, Moe and Larry catch the thief stuffing the painting into a pipe. Chasing him into the party, a huge pie fight breaks out. 1956
The Stooges again run a fish business. Curly suggests that they buy a boat to catch their own fish. "That would eliminate the middleman and the profit would all be ours." They buy sailor outfits, with Curly masquerading in a real Captain's uniform, and then are mistaken for Japanese when their boat sinks and they have to raise a paint-splattered rag to signal for help. 1945
Three amateur film makers try to get the executives of Masterpiece Pictures Corp. to exhibit their new movie, only to discover that they are sanitarium escapees. The short was produced as a way to showcase musical and dance performance footage that had been cut from MGM feature films. ROAST-BEEF & MOVIES was shot in 2-strip Technicolor to match that footage. Blue Daughter From Heaven (Chinese ballet) is taken from LORD BYRON OF BROADWAY (1929), and Dust is from CHILDREN OF PLEASURE (1930). 1934
Vagrants Moe, Larry & Shemp are suspected in an armored car robbery. Gladys Harmon vouches for the Stooges' claim that they work at her Elite Cafe diner, and then gives them jobs at same. Gladys receives an offer on her family's old estate, and believing that she might be gypped, the Stooges accompany her to "look the joint over." Hiding out at the old mansion are the real armored car robbers, and Gladys and the Stooges are soon on the run from the crooks and their knife-wielding henchman Angel. 1948
The Stooges are "Day and Night Plumbers," hired by the Norfleets, a rich married couple, to fix the plumbing in their basement while a social party is going on their mansion. The boys wreck the house with the plumbing: Shemp destroys the bathroom by flooding it, then drilling a hole through the floor, and later, Moe and Shemp connect the water pipes with the electrical pipes. Mr. and Mrs. Allen, two of the Norfleet's party guests, steal the Norfleet's Van Brocklin painting behind everyone's back. When the Norfleets notice their painting is missing, the Allens try to make their getaway, but the Stooges interfere and capture them. Danny Warren (Phil Regan) is determined to be a success in the nightclub business, despite the protests of his uptight businessman father (Russell Hicks). Danny's club manager Moose (Ed Brophy), and his stage crew (& part-time waiters) Moe, Larry & Curly, are ever-vigilant for process servers sent by Warren Sr. to shut down the club. Struggling singer Carol Lawrence (Gale Storm) is initially hired by Warren Sr. to serve a subpoena, but winds up hired as the nightclub's new talent find, and becomes Danny's new love interest. Mr. Warren Sr. reluctantly relents and attends the club's opening night, but the Stooges and Moose mistake him for a process server and throw him out onto the street. It's up to Marie Finch (Mary Treen), Daniel Sr.'s hopeful paramour, to smooth things over. 1946
Although the Stooges' sister, Birdie, has been dead more than a year, Joe will not let her memory fade. He studies reincarnation, thinking someday Birdie might return. While walking the streets, Joe hears Birdie's voice coming from a horse. The Stooges are delighted to find their reincarnated sister and take her home to celebrate. They spend the rest of the time hiding her from their landlord (Mr. Dinkelspiel). The key gag is that she makes uncles out of the Stooges. 1957
Cedric the Blacksmith loves the beautiful Princess Elaine, but the Black Prince is planning to marry her, kill her father the King, and take over the kingdom. Fortunately, a travelling acting troupe (the Stooges) help Cedric woo the Princess, and they manage to stop the Black Prince's dastardly plot. 1954
Moe, Larry and Curly are three out of work actors who have been hired as guides to get Nell and her Belles across the plains to San Francisco in time for their engagement, so of course they're in trouble. Bears steal their food, Indians tell them to scram (or else!), and Curly manages to frighten away their horses. After spending the night in a make-shift cabin (built out of stage scenery), the Indians come back and kidnap the girls while the Stooges are ice fishing. 1940
