Sam 'Bluzman" Taylor is a local legend! My first meeting, was at the Brau House, and I was immediately a convert, and now a "Bluzman" fan. 2004 Sam was a closing act at Cedar Beach Blues fest. Blazed with a yellow sunset, and then darkness, Sam held the rain while completing his gig. Prior to this, I met Sam at Blues 2000 & 2, la at night. Electrifying performance, with Heather Hardy, guest violinist. So this program has the video from both these gigs. That's 2 great gigs, but with one, and the only, Sam "The Bluzman "Taylor. The Long Island Polar Bears, on Super Bowl Sunday, February 1, 2009 had they day at the beach! With swimmers being sponsored for a charitable fundraiser, the day was successful for Make A Wish Foundation. Videographer Jim Romeo not only did the deed with his might camera, but also took the plunge. The video was produced by Zenbock, and also seen on his Cable and Internet programing.

This program is The Long Island Blues Society's contest, for sending a local blues band to compete in Memphis, at the IBC. (The International Blues Challenge). This show has each competing bands opening song, from the August 23, 2009 contest. The following bands are, in order of performance, Chrissie O'Dell & One Hot Mess/ Lonesome Dan & The Curmudgeons/Hitman Blues Band/Frank Latorre & The King Bees/ Gail Storm Band. Frank Latorre won the contest. Fatty Beltbuckles was the venue, at Rocky Point, LONG Island NY.

Blues 2000 & Beyond, 1997 part 1 This is a revamped edit, from Blues 2000 and Beyond, 1997, at The Concord Resort Hotel. I took a 3 part original edit, and re-edited that into a 2 part program. Slam Allen came into my staging area, and gave us nice performance. This program has a roaming camera, and interviews with blues heads at B2k. Andy Falco from Water Street Blues Band spent a few moments sharing his insight on Blues. I have to thank Mike Moss for the invite, and the years he made me a part of Blues 2000. And Gery Giliberti who traveled with me, supporting the weekend, the back up hand drumming, and video taping. Also his behind the scenes work with set ups, and tear downs of the Zen staging.
