Wagt the race against time is the story of a father and a son between whom there is a special bond. Ishwarchand Thakur (Amitabh Bachchan) and Sumitra Thakur (Shefali Shah) are a married couple who run a toy factory together. They have a son called Aditya Thakur (Akshay Kumar) who does not have any interest in responsibility or what he wants to do in life. It gets even worse when he elopes with his girlfriend (Pooja, played by Priyanka Chopra), the daughter of Natu (Boman Irani). When Pooja gets pregnant, both Ishwar and Sumitra decide to make Aditya realize his responsibilities, as he will have to take care of his wife and child. Both take drastic measures and even chuck Aditya out the house along with Pooja.

Race is a 2008 Bollywood film directed by duo Abbas Mustan. It stars Saif Ali Khan, Akshaye Khanna, Anil Kapoor, Bipasha Basu, Katrina Kaif and Sameera Reddy in pivotal roles. Atif Aslam has given three songs to the film with one being sung by Taz (Stereo Nation). Released on March 21, 2008, the film was shot in Dubai and parts of South Africa. The movie is heavily inspired by the English language film, Goodbye Lover starring Patricia Arquette, Dermot Mulroney and Ellen DeGeneres.

Against a backdrop of local political intrigue, the film begins with a Rajput conglomerate gaining strength as Dukey Bana and a few ex-Royals convince a reluctant Ransa to contest for the college elections on behalf of the Rajputana party; Ransa and Kiran battle it for General Secretary's post. Dileep finds himself trapped in political maneuvers and realises that this is not what he had wanted. It dawns on him that he is being used by Dukey; when Dileep confronts Dukey, he is faced with a horrifying truth! Gulaal races to an unforgettable climax. Out of the faces painted in Gulaal, a face is revealed, the face of the new leader.
